Erik Johnson continued his torrid start to the season with a two-run homer to open the scoring in the second and fellow senior Cristian Ptasienski hit a three-run home run in Manalapan's nine-run fourth as the Braves handled the Rebels to get senior right-hander Dylan Shaffer his first win of the season.

Senior left-hander Phil Kramer tossed a no-hitter with just one walk and the Rockets silenced the upstart Hornets for their second shutout in as many days.
Kramer allowed just one baserunner, which was a fourth-inning walk to Holmdel catcher Mat Iulo. He proceeded to retire 11 straight batters to end the game and finished with five strikeouts.
Raritan scored the game's lone run on an RBI groundout by senior John Molnar that plated junior Travis Eversham.

Jackson Osmond launched a tie-breaking three-run home run to cap Jackson Memorial's six-run fourth inning and the Jaguars rallied to beat the Mustangs and complete the regular-season sweep of Brick Memorial.
Nick Izzo hit the first of Jackson Memorial's two home runs when he belted a two-run shot to open the scoring in the bottom of the first inning.
Luke Douglas hit an RBI single in Brick Memorial's two-run second inning and Nicco Maribo ripped a two-run single to put Brick Memorial up, 5-2, in the top of the fourth before Jackson Memorial countered with its big inning.
Jacob Soto also added a two-run single in the bottom of the sixth and Dane Jorgensen followed with an RBI single to cap the scoring and put the game out of reach.
After the first four pitchers to enter the game each gave up at least one run, Matt Colaneri and Jovani Hallihan each posted scoreless outings to avoid any drama for Jackson Memorial.

Chris Quick belted a tie-breaking solo home run in the bottom of the fifth inning and Brannon McBride closed out the win on the mound to give the Green Dragons their second straight win over the Golden Eagles.
Shawn McLaughlin came through with a game-tying two-run single in the bottom of the third after Central struck for a pair of unearned runs in the top of the second against Brick starter Sean Savannah.

Mason Pentz drove in a run with an RBI single in the third inning and went the distance on the mound for his second win of the season as the Raiders rolled to their fifth straight win to open 2024.
Whalen staked Toms River East to a 1-0 lead with an RBI single in the bottom of the first and Pentz made it 2-0 with an RBI single in the bottom of the third. Adrian Aleman tacked on two more in the third with a two-run double and Pentz took care of the rest by finishing off a five-hit shutout.

Brady Lesiak smoked a double to the fence with two out in the bottom of the seventh to plate Ray Mulhern with the winning run and the Rams walked off with a win over the Indians -- their fourth straight to open the season.
Cooper Greitz hit a game-tying two-run double in the top of the fifth inning for Toms River South, which got a complete-game effort from right-hander Aiden Lynch. Tyler McLeod took over on the mound in the sixth for Southern and fired two scoreless frames for his first win of 2024 following five solid innings from Jack Cahill.
Southern scored in each of the first two innings, jumping in front on a sacrifice fly by Brian Harper in the first inning and going up 2-0 on an RBI double by Harrison Grose in the second.

Jader Castillo keyed a seven-run second inning with a two-run double Nestor Castillo contributed an RBI single both a five-run third inning and a five-run fourth inning for Asbury Park.
Asbury Park is coming off consecutive winless seasons in 2022 (0-11) and 2023 (0-13) and did not participate in the 2021 season. Its last win prior to Wednesday was a 3-2 victory over Keansburg on May 7, 2019.

The Red Raiders scratched across three runs in the top of the fifth inning and freshman Paxton Douglass finished off a five-inning relief appearance that netted him his first win as Keyport held off the rival Titans for their first win of the year.
With Keyport trailing, 3-2 heading into the top of the fifth, Erik Schmidt singled and Carter Williams followed with a doubled to park two runners in scoring position. Evin Johnson plated Schmidt with an RBI groundout to tie the game and Keyport grabbed a 4-3 lead on an error. Andrew Staeger capped the Keyport scoring with an RBI single that pushed across what proved to be the winning run.
Mikey Clayton led Keansburg on at the plate and on the rubber, driving in a run with an RBI single to tie the game in the bottom of the second and striking out five in 2 1/3 scoreless innings on the mound.

Bryson Kirby made it 5-0 in the second with a two-run single and Jayson Bennett capped the rally with an RBI single, giving starting pitcher Wyatt Dewysockie plenty of breathing room to operate. Dewysockie pitched four scoreless frames and allowed just two hits and two walks.
