Anthony Martino scored on a wild pitch to break a 4-4 tie in the top of the seventh and Danny Trentacosta came on to record the final out, squash a Howell rally and lock down a Mustangs win over the Rebels.

Howell tied the game in the bottom of the sixth on a two-run home run by Ryan Todisco with one out.

Monmouth 7, Raritan 3 (11 Innings)

Beckett Langdon hit the tie-breaking two-run single in the top of the 11th inning and the Falcons pulled out an extra-inning win over the Rockets to strengthen their hold on first place in the Class A Central standings.

Starting pitching Mike Milevoi -- who threw 112 pitches over the course of the first 5 2/3 innings --  added to the lead with an RBI single in the 11th inning and Will Theobald capped the 11th-inning burst with a sacrifice fly.

Monmouth scored twice in the top of the sixth to tie the game, highlighted by an RBI double by Collin Denton. The tying run scored later in the inning on an error.

St. John Vianney 7, Red Bank 6

Rocco Pluchino singled in the winning run in the bottom of the eighth inning and the Lancers came through at the plate in the late innings to complete a regular-season sweep of the Bucs.

St. John Vianney pulled even in the bottom of the seventh inning on an RBI single by Owen Murtha and a game-tying sacrifice fly by Joe Russo.

The Lancers took a 4-3 lead with four runs in the bottom of the fourth inning. Jake Mandarino singled in a run to make it 4-2 and Murtha gave Vianney the lead with a two-run single for the first two of his three RBI.

Red Bank regained the lead on a two-run home run by Tommy Ruth, who was 3-for-3 with two homers on the day.
