The winner of the Week 6 (Jan 24 to Jan. 30) Wrestler of the Week poll is Toms River South freshman 132-pounder Caden Langan, who delivered a win by fall over a ranked wrestler to propel the Indians to a huge win over a district rival.

In Toms River South's match against Toms River North, Langan pinned North's Zack Kerico (previously ranked No. 9 at 120 pounds) at the 2:59 mark of their bout at 132 pounds. The victory turned out to be monstrous as the Indians came away with a 36-34 victory to defeat the Mariners for the first time since 2016.

Langan has had a great freshman season for Toms River South, boasting a team-best 16-3 record through Feb. 5. He and the Indians qualified for the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 4 tournament and will wrestle vs. Toms River East in the quarterfinals.

It was a close poll for the Wrestler of the Week award with Langan narrowly winning over Raritan's Zach Reilley.
