Winning pitcher Zack Johnston helped his cause with a two-run single in a four-run third and Jake Tennant added a two-run double in a three-run sixth as the Rockets used two big innings to get past the Cougars and into the MCT semifinals next Saturday against either St. Rose or Monmouth.
Hunter Boag hit a solo home run and Joe Kohm slammed an RBI double during a two-run first inning for Colts Neck, while Anthony Galason tripled in a run during a two-run third that put Colts Neck ahead, 4-1, before Raritan answered with four in the bottom of the inning.

Matt Fitzsimmons delivered a two-run single through a drawn-in infield in the bottom of the second and senior Blaise Venancio took it from there, spinning six shutout innings with 10 strikeouts to help the Colts blank the Eagles and reach the MCT semifinals next Saturday.
Four of the five runs CBA scored against Middletown South sophomore right-hander Danny Minze were unearned.

Vincent Bianchi, Alex Gonzales and Nick Merlo each drove in three runs and Austin Nappi pitched a one-hitter to lead the Caseys to a rout of the Green Wave. Bianchi hit three doubles and Merlo added one as well. David Glancy and Dan Ianelli each added a double and two RBI as well.
Nappi worked around three walks and four hit batters to finish off the five-inning complete game on 70 pitches.
Red Bank Catholic will travel to play second-seeded CBA in the semifinal round of the tournament on Saturday.
