Brian Sheehy's two-run double that Ocean center fielder Jake Papa lost in the sun highlighted a five-run first inning and Austin Nappi took care of the rest on the mound as the Caseys beat the Spartans for the third time this season and advanced to the Monmouth County Tournament final on Tuesday night.

JonMichael Rotando, Steve Turk and Connor Caizza all added RBI singles during the inning against Ocean starter Phil DeMarco, who needed 46 pitches to get out of the first inning.

Nappi did not allow a hit until there were two out in the fourth inning and two of the three hits he allowed Saturday were infield singles. By throwing only 68 pitches on Saturday, Nappi is eligible to throw 72 pitches on Tuesday, according to the NJSIAA pitch count rule.

RBC will play the winner of Sunday's semifinal game between Freehold Borough and three-time defending champion Christian Brothers Academy.

T.J. Scuderi and Matt Shiffer combined on a four-hit shutout and contributed to a two-run first inning that gave the Indians enough offense to beat the Raiders for a third time this year and advance to the OCT quarterfinals later in the week.

Shiffer doubled and scored the game's first run on an RBI single by Ben Montenegro. Scuderi followed with a walk, both runners moved up on a sacrifice by Justin Fall and Jared Kwincinski plated the second run on an RBI ground out.

The third Toms River South run scored when Kwincinski hit into a double play in the third.

Jared Bellissimo broke a 6-6 tie with an RBI triple in the bottom of the sixth and Austin Feigin followed with a RBI double that plated what proved to be the winning run as the Mariners won a back-and-forth game against the Griffins to advance to the OCT quarterfinals.

Matt Morro gave Donovan Catholic a 6-5 lead in the top of the sixth when he blasted a three-run home run with two out in the inning.

Before Bellissimo's go-ahead triple, Alex Klalo tied the game with a sacrifice fly. Toms River North took a 5-3 lead with three runs in the fourth, highlighted by a go-ahead RBI double by Crag Larsen.

Winning pitcher Brendan Mullins hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the second after Donovan Catholic scored three in the top of the inning.
