Week 12 Top Performers (Listed in alphabetical order)

Alex Brown, Sr., QB, Red Bank Catholic

Brown ran for 32 yards and two touchdowns and threw for 97 yards in the Caseys' 21-10 victory over St. Joseph Academy in the NJSIAA Non-Public B semifinals.

 

Jake Czwakiel, So., K, Middletown South

The Eagles lost to Irvington, 28-13, in the NJSIAA North 2, Group 4 sectional final but Czwakiel continued his accurate kicking with field goals of 22 and 23 yards.

 

Kieran Falzon, Jr., RB, Raritan

The Rockets lost to Haddonfield, 28-7, in the Central Jersey Group 2 title game but Falzon had a great game with 143 yards rushing and a touchdown on 22 carries plus two catches for 25 yards.

 

Micah Ford, So., QB, Toms River North

The Mariners lost a heartbreaker, 21-14, when Kingsway scored with seven seconds left to win the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 5 title, but Ford had another productive night with a touchdown run and then a touchdown pass plus a 2-point conversion run that tied the game at 14 with 57 seconds left in regulation.

 

Tyler Gordon, Jr., RB/LB, Point Boro

Gordon had a pair of touchdown runs, recorded 11 tackles on defense, and returned an interception 25 yards for a touchdown as the Panthers defeated Willingboro, 32-8, to win the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 2 sectional championship.

 

John Lista, Sr., LB, Rumson-Fair Haven

Although the Bulldogs allowed a season-high in points and yards (378) in a 28-6 loss to Woodrow Wilson in the NJSIAA Central Jersey Group 3 final, it was a close game until the Tigers pulled away late in the fourth quarter. Lista ended his career with another outstanding performance, making 20 total tackles that included 13 solo stops and two sacks.

 

Connor Reynolds, Jr., LB, Point Boro

Point Boro's defense was excellent and Reynolds was one of the leaders with six tackles and two sacks to help lead the Panthers to a 32-8 win over Willingboro in the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 2 sectional final.

 

Tom Schork, Sr., QB, Middletown South

Schork ran for a team-high 119 yards and a touchdown during the NJSIAA North 2, Group 4 final, 28-13 loss to Irvington for the Eagles.

 

Charlie Vitale, Sr., QB/DB, Point Boro

Vitale completed 4 of 5 passes for 106 yards and a touchdown, including a 68-yard touchdown pass to Connor Cilento, and ran for 70 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries, to help lead the Panthers to a 32-8 win over Willingboro that secured the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 2 sectional championship.
