Offense
Asante Moorer, Jr., RB, Toms River North
Moorer was a beast on Friday night against Toms River South, rushing for 200 yards and four touchdowns on 31 carries to lead the Mariners to a 44-34 upset of the previously fifth-ranked Indians in the “Civil War”. His signature run came when he broke five tackles on a 38-yard touchdown in the second quarter. He also scored on runs of 7, 4 and 13 yards. Moorer was also selected by the fans as the Sport Clips Shore Conference Player of the Week with nearly 30 percent of the votes.
Defense
Datrell Reed, Sr., DL, Lakewood
Reed was an unblockable force in the Piners’ 32-15 victory over Manchester that pushed their record to 3-0. The 6-foot-3, 220-pound outside linebacker/defensive end recorded seven tackles for a loss, one for no gain and registered one sack. He also had this crushing hit on a punt return.
Special Teams
Joe Rice, Jr., K, St. John Vianney
In the Lancers’ 41-12 victory over Central, Rice booted a pair of field goals, including a 41-yard kick in the second quarter that is the longest field goal in the Shore Conference this season.

Class A North
Offense
Imamu Mayfield, Sr., RB, Manalapan
Mayfield erupted for a career-high 247 rushing yards and five touchdowns in the Braves’ 64-28 victory over Sayreville. He scored on touchdown runs of 11, 34, 38, 48 and 12 on 21 carries.
Defense
Ben Sieczkowski, Sr., DL, Manalapan
Since the Braves were the only Class A North team to play last week, they occupy both player of the week spots. Sieczkowski was last week's A North Defensive Player of the Week, and earned the honor again by recording 16 tackles, 10 of which were solo, with two for a loss and one sack. He also caught two passes for 21 yards and hauled in a two-point conversion pass as part of Manalapan's record-setting 64-point outburst against Sayreville.
Class A Central
Offense
LC Pearson, Fr., QB, Matawan
After seeing time during the Huskies’ first two games, Pearson got his first career start against Raritan and delivered a 227-yard, four-touchdown performance to lead Matawan to a 26-21 victory for its first win of the season.
Also deserving mention: Charlie Volker, Sr., RB, Rumson-Fair Haven; Jimmy Green, Jr., QB, Monmouth Regional; Derek Ernst, Jr., RB, Raritan.
Defense
Manasquan's entire unit
The Warriors shut out Holmdel 21-0 to improve to 2-1, holding down what had been a productive passing game through the first two weeks of the season.
Class A South
Offense
Tymere Berry, Sr., QB, Toms River South
Berry was sensational despite the Indians’ 44-34 loss to Toms River North. The senior ran for 131 yards and five touchdowns to account for all of Toms River South’s points, and also had an interception on defense that led to one of his scoring runs.
Defense
Zach Tetro, Sr., LB, Jackson Memorial
Tetro made 10 tackles, including two for a loss, in the Jaguars' 45-14 victory over Southern that pushed their record to 3-0 and set up a huge clash with undefeated and second-ranked Brick on Saturday night.
Also deserving mention: Dashon Copes, Jr., DL, Toms River North.
Class B North
Offense
Dahmiere Willis, Sr., RB, Long Branch
Willis gets this accolade for the second straight week thanks to a 268-yard, five touchdown game in a 35-7 victory over Wall.
Also deserving mention: Abdul Quddus, Sr., RB, Colts Neck; Eddie Hahn, Jr., QB, Red Bank Catholic; Trevor Cowley, Sr., WR, Red Bank Catholic.
Defense
Nick Gargiulo, Jr., LB, Colts Neck
The Cougars fell to Woodbridge, 21-12, but Gargiulo played superb with a game-high 14 tackles, including eight solo stops, along with two sacks and two hurries.
Class B Central
Offense
Christian Palmer, Sr., QB, Mater Dei Prep
Palmer ran for 144 yards and touchdowns of 60 and 44 yards, and also threw for 104 yards and touchdowns of 63 and 3 yards to Eddie Lewis and Tysaun White, respectively, in a 30-20 victory over Asbury Park.
Defense
Joe Wegrzyniak, Sr., LB, Point Beach
Wegrzyniak made nine tackles and had one sack, a fumble recovery and an interception in the Garnet Gulls’ 36-19 victory over Keyport. He also ran for 180 yards and three touchdowns on 15 carries.
Class B South
Offense
Cinjun Erskine, Sr., QB, Barnegat
The Bucknell-bound Erskine accounted for all three Bengals touchdowns in a 21-7 victory over Jackson Liberty. He was 8-for-9 passing for 154 yards and one touchdown, and also ran for 112 yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries.
Defense
Tyler McGuinness, Sr., LB, Barnegat
McGuinness helped the Bengals bounce back with a win over Jackson Liberty by recording four tackles, including one for a loss, intercepting two passes and breaking up another. He also ran for 58 yards on 14 carries.
