Girls Basketball – Week 8 Player of the Week Voted by the Fans: Madison Kocis

Girls Basketball Week 8 Player of the Week voted by the fans and presented by Thrive Spine and Sports Rehab.

Kocis kicked it into another gear when the Shore Conference Tournament started. She averaged 14 points per game in SJV’s first two games to be voted by the fans as the player of the week.

In SJV’s first game of the tournament, Kocis tied a season-high 16 points in a victory over Colts Neck. She followed that by knocking down four 3-pointers in the quarterfinal round against Red Bank Regional. Kocis finished with a game-high 12 points to help the Lady Lancers advance into the semifinal round.

Kocis received 27.1 percent of the votes casted for the Week 8 fan voted Player of the Week award. Red Bank Catholic’s Tessa Carman finished in second with 26.2 percent of the vote and Manasquan’s Hope Masonius finished in third with 15.2 percent of the vote.

Each fan voted Player of the Week will receive one recovery session at Thrive Spine and Sports Rehab.
