Salesianum (Del.) 7, No. 2 Manasquan 5

The Warriors (4-1) hung in there with the No. 1 team in Delaware and pulled within one goal in the fourth quarter before ultimately falling by a two-goal margin.

Junior midfielder Blake Gorski scored twice and his goal off an assist from senior midfielder Robert Pendergist cut Salesianum's lead to 6-5 with 4:39 left. The Sallies rebounded just over a minute later, however, and held on for the victory.

In addition to Gorski's two goals, Penderigst and junior attackman James Farinacci had a goal and an assist each and junior attackman Matt Porazzo scored once. Senior defenseman Ryan Bilello had an assist and junior goalie Carter Groezinger made nine saves.

Salesianum was unranked in the most recent Inside Lacrosse National Top 25 but will likely be in the next rankings after defeating Canada's Hill Academy on April 9. Hill Academy was ranked No. 16.
