Shore Conference Tournament - Preliminary Round

17-Brick Memorial 11, 16-Barnegat 4

Senior midfielder Dan Aulisi scored four goals and added one assist and senior attackman Dylan Rinyak delivered two goals and three assists as the Mustangs (11-3) avenged a prior loss to the Bengals (9-6) to advance in the Shore Conference Tournament.

Barnegat had defeated Brick Memorial, 10-9, on April 11.

Matt Cohrs also scored twice for Brick Memorial, which increased its program-record winning streak to eight games. Henry Lindquist had a goal and two assists, Aiden McBride had a goal and an assist, and Rob Beshears scored once. Defenseman Chase DeVeau had two assists plus a game-high 15 ground balls. Senior goalie Paul Mazzeo made 15 saves.

Bryan Snowden scored twice and Lucas Holland made 11 saves for Barnegat. Luke Tortorici had a goal and an assist, Bobby Sawicki scored once, and Kurt Bonin had two assists.

Brick Memorial will play at top-seeded Rumson-Fair Haven on Tuesday.

 

Shore Conference Tournament - Round of 16

2-Manasquan 17, 15-St. Rose 2

Junior attackman James Farinacci tallied a career-high seven goals and added three assists for a career-high 10 points as the Warriors (12-3) coasted past the Purple Roses (9-6) and into the SCT quarterfinals.

Junior attackman Matt Porazzo added two goals and three assists and senior midfielder Robert Pendergist totaled two goals and two assists. Brody Muly also scored twice, Blake Gorski had a goal and two assists, Dan Hyland supplied a goal and an assist, and Joe Franklin and Joseph Carabetta each scored once. Freshman Brandon Kunz dished out two assists and senior FOGO Max Pauwels had a perfect 19-for-19 day at the face-off X. Carter Groezinbger (3 saves), Spencer Muly (1 save), and Nick Bounassi (2 saves) all saw time in goal.

Dan Bair and John Harold scored goals for St. Rose and Cameron McManus made two saves.

Manasquan will host Howell on Thursday in the SCT quarterfinals.

 

3-Wall 17, 14-Point Boro 0

Junior attackman John McCurry set a career-high with nine goals and added one assist for his third 10-point game of the season to lead the Crimson Knights (13-2) past the Panthers (11-4) and into the SCT quarterfinals.

Senior middie Matt Dollive added four goals and one assist, sophomore middie Shea Brennan scored twice, and junior attackman Eugene Haghighi and freshman attackman Owen Moore had one goal each. Jack Meyer had two assists and Brody Schwinn, Connor Moore, and Will Madden had one assist each. Junior LSM Dominick Giglio picked up a game-high 12 ground balls and senior goalie Aiden Kessler made seven saves.

Matt Azzarano made 12 saves for Point Boro.

Wall will host Shore Regional on Thursday in the SCT quarterfinals.

 

6-Shore 13, 11-Red Bank Catholic 3

Senior attackman Carson Cooke scored four goals and senior midfielder Jamie Mazzacco sank three goals and assisted on two more as the Blue Devils (10-2) started fast and never let up on their way to a victory over the Caseys (11-6) in the first round of the SCT.

Shore led 3-0 after the first quarter and led 7-1 at halftime. The two teams played last week with Shore eking out a 12-10 victory.

Sophomore middie Sam Madalone added two goals and two assists, sophomore attackman Carson Spallone scored twice, and sophomore middie Andrew Decker scored once. Tucker Malfa went 9-for-10 at the face-off X and Brendan O'Brien went 6-for-10 at the X. Junior goalie Walker Hunter had another strong game and finished with 14 saves.

Christian Schrader made 22 saves for RBC, which received one goal each from Sam Fertal, Connor McGee, and Jackson Lu and three assists from Torin Harmon.

Shore will play at third-seeded Wall on Thursday in the SCT quarterfinals.

 

7-Howell 8, 10-Middletown South 7

Senior midfielder Doug MacKenzie provided four goals and one assist and senior goalie Colin Fay made eight saves as the Rebels (12-4) won a dogfight with the division-rival Eagles (9-5) to advance to the SCT quarterfinals.

Middletown South led 2-1 at halftime before Howell surged ahead over the final two quarters.

Junior attackman Nate Lorenzo and senior attackman Vin Burns had a goal and an assist each, and senior middie CJ Calafiore and sophomore middie Ian McDow each scored once.

Howell will play at second-seeded Manasquan on Thursday.

 

Nondivisional

St. John Vianney 8, Lacey 5

Senior midfielder John Dodaro had two goals and one assist and won 8 of 11 face-offs for Lacey. Gaetano Dimiele scored twice, Matt VanNortwick scored once, and Chad Moore made 10 saves.

St. John Vianney improved to 6-9 on the season while Lacey fell to 7-8.

 

Ocean 6, Brick 3

Senior midfielder Brent Shaflin and junior midfielder Joey Constandi each scored twice and junior goalie Blaine Grayson made 14 saves to lead the Spartans (4-12) to a victory over the Dragons (2-12).

Shaflin also had an assist while senior attackman Michael Terry had a game-high four points with a goal and three assists. Christian Revolinskhy scored once and Brian Gibbons had one assist.

Justin Schlaefer had two goals and one assist and Jason Glandorf made nine saves for Brick. Nick Wharton scored once and Riley Bell collected a game-high 16 ground balls.

 

Toms River South 10, Freehold Township 6

Shane Toal, Corey Kaiser, Brady Derome, and Aidan Vicidomini all had multi-point games to lead the Indians (6-6) to a win over the Patriots (3-12).

Toal had a game-high five points on two goals and three assists and Kaiser had two goals and two assists. Derome notched a hat trick and Vicidomini had a goal and assist and also set a program record for face-off win percentage by going 19-for-20 at the face-off X. Ethan Godlesky and Billy Rutledge added one goal each and Jake Hull had a huge game with 20 saves.

Ian Fallon had three goals and one assist and Jaden Buckley scored twice to lead the way for Freehold Township. Nick Carnevale added a goal and an assist and Connor Brown made eight saves.

 

Central 6, Neptune 5

Grant Paczkowski and Dominick Fraulo each tallied a goal and an assist and Brady Etzkorn made 12 saves as the Golden Eagles rallied from a 3-0 deficit to defeat the Scarlet Fliers and earn their first victory of the season.

Stefano Babino, Maxx Agnello, Casey Etzkorn, and Nicholas Campanella added one goal each for Central (1-13).

Michael Loff and Ryan Podlaski each scored twice, Myles McGovern scored once, and Laens Bastain made 11 saves for Neptune (1-13).

 

Jackson Liberty 10, Colts Neck 9

Sophomore attackman Paul Capozzi scored four goals and added one assist and sophomore goalie Matthew LaBianca made 10 saves to lead the Lions (6-10) past the Cougars (5-10) in a one-goal game.

Peter Abline tallied two goals and one assist and Reese Stewart added a goal and two assists. Sam Matthies and Matthew Raimondi had one goal each and Connor D'Andrea won 15 of 23 at the face-off X.

Sean Perkinson scored five goals and Dan O'Keefe made 15 saves for Colts Neck, which scored three times in the fourth quarter to almost rally for the win. Henry Shell scored twice, Jack Dodd had a goal and an assist, and Thomas Halmi scored once while also picking up a game-high seven ground balls.

 

Nonconference

J.P. Stevens 15, Long Branch 10

Jacob Juliano and Flavio Marques each sank four goals and assisted on another and Luis Rojas made 18 saves for the Green Wave (1-15) in a high-scoring loss to J.P. Stevens (2-7).

Ka'von Williams scored once for Long Branch.
