CLASS A NORTH

No. 5 Freehold Township 14, Middletown North 4

Senior midfielder Mike Colicchia scored a career-high five goals and senior attackman Josh Nastarowicz tallied three goals and two assists to fuel the Patriots (9-4, 5-1) in their victory over the Lions (2-12, 1-5).

Senior midfielder Mike Ferdinandi also had a hat trick and senior attackman Drew Dunn had five assists. Junior attackman Chris Novella notched a goal and two assists and senior Mike Martino, sophomore Matt Kondrup and freshman Brendan Doel each scored once. Junior goalie Billy Patten made 14 saves

 

No. 9 Howell 8, Middletown South 4

Senior attackman Ryan Damelio scored four goals and sophomore goalie Nick Roberto made nine saves to lead the Rebels (11-3, 4-3) past the Eagles (8-4, 3-1).

Ryan Choffey had two goals and one assist, Nico Lorenzo had a goal and two assists and Drew Bukowiec tallied one goal and one assist for Howell.

Pete Lawson, Noah Diodato, Maxx Imsho and Ryan Mitsiopoulis scored goals and Matt Marino made seven saves for Middletown South.

 

Neptune 9, Marlboro 6

Kevin Clohosey scored a game-high five goals and Nick Brown added a hat trick to propel the Scarlet Fliers (3-9, 2-5) past the Mustangs (4-8, 1-6).

Tyler Rossi tallied one goal and one assist and LSM Chase Fairbanks had a whopping 22 ground balls. Dominic Ciocca made eight saves.

Tim Dwyer had two goals and two assists and Sydney Weber also scored twice to lead Marlboro.

 

CLASS A SOUTH

No. 3 Southern 18, Brick 5

Sophomore attackman Nick Fontana posted a career-high 10 points with five goals and five assists and senior midfielder Will Johnson eclipsed the 50-goal mark with six goals and three assists as the Rams (11-2, 5-0) defeated the Dragons (5-9, 2-4) to clinch the Class A South division title for the fifth straight season.

Johnson now has 55 goals and 12 assists on the year.

Senior attackman Kyle Mulrane added four goals and three assists and senior goalie Tristan Farina made six saves to earn the win. Austin Ogule scored twice and Dylan Smith scored once each for Southern, which also ran its winning streak to 10 games.

 

Brick Memorial 10, No. 10 Jackson Memorial 6

Senior midfielder Mike Mowder scored five goals with one assist and Matt Wood made 12 saves as the Mustangs (7-5, 3-3) put an end to the Jaguars' (9-4, 3-3) five-game winning streak.

Senior attackman Gavin Murphy had one goal and three assists and junior attackman Joey Ferrera added one goal and two assists for Brick Memorial. Henry Moran finished with one goal and one assist and Vincent Spinelli and Zack Morton also scored for the Mustangs.

Junior midfielder Robert Stiuso scored twice to lead Jackson Memorial. John Chitren, Aaron Hutchinson, Matt Perillo and defenseman Sean Duggan also scored for the Jaguars.

 

Toms River East 9, Toms River South 7

Matt Gannon had a hat trick and Evan Otten and Alex Smith each scored twice as the Raiders (7-6, 3-2) beat the rival Indians (4-7, 1-5) to clinch a spot in the Shore Conference Tournament on the final day to qualify.

Ben Cagno had a goal and two assists, Salvatore Esposito scored once and Nick Price had three assists. Otten also had a team-high nine ground balls. Toms River East started the season 0-5, but rallied with seven wins in their next eight games to reach the SCT.

 

 

CLASS B NORTH

No. 7 St. John Vianney 16, Long Branch 0

Senior attackman Andrew Porretta scored three goals and also had five assists while C.J. Hanson and Matt Jones combined on the shutout as the Lancers (8-7, 7-1) blanked the Green Wave (1-12, 0-7) to lock up a spot in the Shore Conference Tournament.

Senior attackman Tino D'Amore had two goals and two assists whille senior Ryan Gilfillan and freshmen Anthony Brett and Matt Franzoni each tallied two goals and one assist.

 

No. 8 Ocean 12, Shore 8

Sophomore Holden Lowe sank five goals and added three assists to power the Spartans (12-2, 6-2) past the Blue Devils (9-5, 4-3) for their sixth straight win.

Senior Sam Hanna had a hat trick, senior Jordan Ornowski scored twice and senior Cole Conti and sophomore Mike Nies each scored once. Senior goalie David Walk made nine saves, sophomore LSM Mike Kircher picked up a game-high seven ground balls and junior defenseman Richie Bianchi, Walk and Lowe all had six ground balls.

 

Holmdel 18, Red Bank 5

The Hornets (7-6, 4-3) topped the Bucs (1-13, 1-6) to qualify for the Shore Conference Tournament.

 

CLASS B SOUTH

No. 1 Manasquan 17, Jackson Liberty 2

The Warriors (13-1, 6-0) clinched at least a share of the Class B South division title by trouncing the winless Lions (0-16, 0-7).

Senior attackman Jarrett Birch scored five goals with two assists and sophomore attackman Canyon Birch tallied two goals with five assists. Senior midfielder Devan Carroll had two goals and one assist and sophomore midfielder James Pendergist also scored twice. Casey Campbell, James McElduff, James Mele, Thad Wiseman, John Moran and Pat Felstedt each scored once for Manasquan. Tom Pollock and Mike LaPoint split halve in goal and made two saves each.

George Frueh and Max Matthies scored for Jackson Liberty and Sean Reid made 10 saves.

 

No. 6 Wall 17, Lacey 5

Junior midfielder Will Forte fired in six goals with two assists, junior attackman Tim O'Hern netted four goals and junior attackman Mike McIntyre tallied three goals and three assists as the Crimson Knights (9-1, 6-1) blitzed the Lions (7-4, 5-2).

Connor Prindiville added two goals and Evan Gacos and Kyle Peters each scored once. Sean DeMott made five saves for Wall, which led 14-2 at halftime.

Senior midfielder Connor Wilson had two goals and one assist to lead Lacey. Clayton Humcke also scored twice, Dylan Vitale scored once and Justin Covey made 12 saves.

 

St. Rose 15, Donovan Catholic 5

Senior attackman Chris Bormida scored five goals with three assists while senior attackman Griffin McDermott and junior attackman Shane Reilly each notched three goals and three assists as the Purple Roses (9-5, 4-3) put away the Griffins (4-5, 2-4) to spoil their bid at qualifying for the Shore Conference Tournament.

Mike Kinsel added two goals and one assist and Jack Cusack and Matt Bogdan each had one goal and one assist. Senior goalie Robbie Brugnoli made 19 saves.

Pete Schlendorf had a hat trick and one assist to lead Donovan Catholic.

 

Point Boro 13, Barnegat 3

Junior attackman Trevor McNamara led all player with four goals and sophomore goalie Parker Roncin made nine saves to lead the Panthers (6-9, 3-4) to a victory over the Bengals (1-11, 1-6).

Liam Connelly had a hat trick with one assist and Kyler Rossi also scored three times for Point Boro. Tanner Gordon added two goals and one assist and T.J. Palazzo scored once.

Jon Orocho scored twice, Dylan Corbett scored once and Julian Schoenberger made 14 saves for Barnegat.

 

NONDIVISIONAL

Colts Neck 10, Red Bank Catholic 5

Peddie 5, Toms River North 4
