Shore Conference boys lacrosse results for Thursday, March 29.

CLASS B SOUTH

Manasquan 18, Lacey 1

Junior attackman Canyon Birch was unstoppable with 10 goals and two assists as the defending SCT champion Warriors opened their season with a lopsided victory over the Lions.

Ryan Anderson added three goals and one assist, Casey Mulligan had a goal and four assists and Casey Campbell, James Mele, Riley Callahan and Mike Cielecki each scored once. Mike LaPoint made six saves. Manasquan led 14-0 at halftime.

Jake Schlosser scored Lacey's lone goal off an assist from Dominic Waltonowski. Justin Covey made eight saves.

 

NONDIVISIONAL

Southern 6, Holmdel 5 (OT)

Junior attackman Nick Fontana scored the game-winning goal off a pass from Aniello Russo in overtime as the Rams won a thriller on the road at Bob Roggy Field.

Fontana finished with a game-high four goals and added one assist to lead Southern to its second win in as many days to open the season. Russo had a goal and two assists and Cade Johnson had a goal and an assist. Luke Maul made nine saves.

Jake Preziose had two goals and one assist and Dan Tempone also scored twice in the loss for Holmdel. Justin Cohen scored once and Nick Tuccillo made 14 saves.

 

Point Boro 2, Marlboro 0

Dylan Kovolesky's first-quarter goal was all the Panthers needed as their defense and goalie Parker Roncin pitched a shutout to give head coach Pat Brady his first coaching victory.

Roncin finished with 10 saves and Cormac McCabe added an insurance goal in the fourth quarter. John Meyer and T.J. Palazzo each picked up a game-high eight ground balls while Jake Toner collected seven ground balls and McCabe had six ground balls.

 

Brick 15, Donovan Catholic 1

Richie Cosgrove scored four goals and added two assists and James Rea also scored four goals as the Dragons (2-0) cruised past the Griffins (0-2).

Billy Burdge added three goals, Will Swiderski had two goals and two assists, Nick D'Eufemia had a goal and four assists and Jared Schlaefer scored once.

 

Freehold Township 8, Red Bank 2

 

NONCONFERENCE

North Brunswick 12, Long Branch 0

Keith Dement made 14 saves for the Green Wave in the loss to the Raiders.
