CLASS A NORTH

Sophomore Connor Macrae scored a game-high five goals and senior attackman Nick Casner had two goals and four assists as the Colts (6-5, 6-0) walloped the Rebels (10-3, 3-3) to clinch a spot in the Shore Conference Tournament and at least a share of the Class A North division title.

Luke Valentino tallied two goals and two assists, Thomas Convery notched two goals and one assist and Ryan Madalone and Robbie Hermansen added two goals each for CBA. Defenseman Clint Wilson, FOGO Nick Robertson, senior Matt Farrell and junior Hunter Connellan each scored once and senior goalie Ryan McGuiness made five saves.

Casner's six points gave him 242 for his career, tying Bill Duerr for third on CBA's all-time scoring list.

Ryan Damelio had a hat trick, Drew Bukowiec scored twice and Coleman Chrzan scored once for Howell.

 

 

CLASS A SOUTH

No. 3 Southern 13, Brick Memorial 6

Senior midfielder Will Johnson scored a game-high five goals with two assists and senior goalie Tristan Farina made 15 saves as the Rams (10-2, 4-0) moved one step closer to securing the division title.

Sophomore attackman Nick Fontana notched two goals and two assists, sophomore midfielder Anellio Russo had two goals and one assist and freshman Cade Johnson tallied one goal and one assist for Southern. Kyle Mulrane, Anthony Firmani and Dylan Smith each scored once.

Junior attackman Joey Ferrera led Brick Memorial (6-5, 2-3) with three goals while senior attackman Gavin Murphy and senior defenseman Adam Plumacher each had one goal and one assist. Vincent Spinelli also scored and Matt Wood made 15 saves.

 

NONCONFERENCE

St. Augustine 6, No. 2 Rumson-Fair Haven 5 (5OT)

The Bulldogs (13-2) had their state-best 13-game winning streak snapped in an epic quintuple overtime loss to the Hermits (8-4).

Senior goalie Connor Deverin made 11 saves and Charlie Curran, Bryan Hess, Colin Pavluk, Andrew Walsh and Alex Werner each had goals for Rumson.
