CLASS A NORTH
No. 4 CBA 13, Middletown South 6
Senior attackman Nick Casner scored four goals and also had four assists and junior attackman Mike Carroll had a hat trick plus one assist as the Colts (7-5, 7-0) beat the Eagles (8-5, 3-2) to clinch the outright Class A North division title.
Robbie Hermansen scored twice, Luke Valentino had a goal and an assist and Ryan McGuiness made seven saves. Tom Convery, Connor Macrae and defenseman Clint Wilson each scored once for CBA.
Pete Lawson, Noah Diodato and Alex Madden each scored twice and Matt Marino made nine saves for Middletown South.
NONCONFERNECE
Holmdel 17, North Brunswick 5
Junior attackman Jake Preziose scored a career-high seven goals with one assist to power the Hornets (8-6) past the Raiders (5-10).
Kevin Burmeister added a hat trick, Justin Arredondo tallied two goals and three assists and Jack Cook had five assists plus 13 ground balls. Billy DiMaio notched a goal, two assists and 13 ground balls, Joe Hazel had two goals and one assist and Nick Tucillo (4 saves) and Tom Anderson (2 saves) split time in goal. Justin Cohen and Alex Van Name each scored once.
