The VarsityLink Coaches Corner returns on Wednesday night on the Shore Sports Network as Bob Badders, Ed Sarluca and Kevin Williams look back at the first big weekend of Shore Conference football. Now entering its 12th year, the show is broadcast each week from 7-8 pm and can be viewed live on shoresportsnetwork.com and the SSN app, or anytime as it will be archived on the website.

Wednesday’s season opener will be broadcast from Asylum Sports Center in Wall and will feature Manalapan head coach Dom Lepore and seniors Alex Dille (WR/S) and two-way lineman Julian Santo. The Braves, ranked No. 8 in the Jeep Store SSN Football Top 10, are off to a 2-0 start with wins over Freehold Township and Middletown North and face a huge test Friday night at home against American Division rival No. 3 Middletown South.
