North Division

No. 5 Manasquan 3, No. 3 Middletown South 3

Junior forward Braden Ryan scored a power-play goal with 12.9 seconds left in the third period to complete Manasquan's rally to tie Middletown South in a back-and-forth game at the Middletown Sports Complex.

Ryan finished with two goals and one assist, James Farinacci scored once and Conall Dougherty made 33 saves for the Warriors (0-2-2, 0-2-2).

Junior forward Nate Block scored twice and added an assist and junior goalie Jack Collings made 23 saves for the Eagles (3-3-2, 2-2-2). Senior forward Michael Volpi added a goal and an assist and junior forward Aiden Cavendish contributed to all three Middletown South goals with three assists.

Manasquan led 1-0 after the first period on Farinacci's goal but Middletown South took a 2-1 lead after two periods on a pair of goals by block, including a power-play tally at 1:26 of the middle period. Ryan tied the score just 38 seconds into the third period before Volpi gave Middletown South the lead with 4:02 to play.

The teams will run it back on Wednesday night at Jersey Shore Arena.

Central Division

Wall 4, Manalapan 2

Senior forward Patrick DeMarinis scored twice and added an assist to lead the Crimson Knights (4-2, 1-1) past the Braves (5-3, 2-2).

DeMarinis assisted on the first goal of the game by junior forward Jaxon Hook and later gave Wall a 2-1 lead when he put home the rebound of a shot by Dylan Burne. He scored the eventual game-winning goal by scoring off a rebound of a shot by Brian Fell. Leonardo Iacoviello scored Wall's fourth goal when he followed two shots by Hook and scored on the rebound.

Senior forward Ryan Bechutsky scored twice for Manalapan to give him 11 goals in Manalapan's last four games.

 

No. 8 Toms River North 6, Howell 0

Senior forwards Cole Schneider and Anthony DeFalco and sophomore forward DJ Freed each scored twice and freshman goalie Louis Mancuso made 19 saves to earn his first high school shutout to lead the undefeated Mariners (6-0, 3-0) past the Rebels (2-5, 1-2).

Schneider and DeFalco each totaled two goals and one assist and senior forward Joe Frattaroli had two assists.

Junior goalie AJ Waters made 29 saves for Howell.

 

Nondivisional

No. 2 St. John Vianney 5, Freehold 0

Senior forward Colin Gartz scored twice and senior goalie Joe Morris recorded a shutout in his first varsity start as the Lancers (5-1-2) blanked the Colonials (2-2) on senior night.

Junior forwards Rob Calice and Jack Allen and junior defenseman Alec Osher each scored once.
