The Mustangs picked up their first win of the season.

Manalapan 1, Brick 0

Junior forward Christian Pietromonaco scored the go-ahead goal with 3:39 left and senior goalie Pat McCarty made 33 saves to record the shutout as the Braves (6-3) won a thriller over the Dragons (1-5-1).

With the win, McCarty also set a new wins record at Manalapan with his 21st career victory.

Sophomore goalie Kevin Toye made 35 saves for Brick.

Marlboro 6, Old Bridge 0

Ryan Kapp scored his first varsity goal and Dmitrii Kapranov made 11 saves to post a shutout as the Mustangs (8-3-2) blanked the Knights.

Paul Golembiewski, Daniel Goldstein and John Spallin each tallied a goal and an assist while Mark Pelligrino and Sam Scharf each scored once.
