Class A North

No. 3 CBA 18, Middletown North 0

Senior attackman Dan Martin scored three goals and four assists to lead the Colts (6-2, 2-0) to a victory over the Lions (1-6, 0-1).

Michael DeRos and Ged Clark added two goals and one assist each, Ryan Howard and Nick Blalock each scored twice and Ian Macrae dished out three assists. Jared Lucich won 14 of 18 face-offs.

 

No. 8 Howell 15, Marlboro 3

Junior midfielder Tyler Burns totaled three goals and two assists and sophomore attackman Nate Lorenzo scored three goals to power the Rebels (5-3, 3-0) to their fourth straight win.

Jack Marich had two goals and one assist and Vincent Burns scored twice. Doug MacKenzie, James Fay and Dax Kukan each registered a goal and an assist and Chris Calafiore and Peyton Wesley had one goal each. Glenn Giordano won 11 of 16 face-offs and Colin Fay made six saves.

 

Colts Neck 15, Long Branch 2

Nate Rowohi delivered three goals and three assists and Peter Davi had two goals and three assists to lead a balanced scoring attack that propelled the Cougars past the Green Wave.

Mike Deissler added two goals and one assist, Sean Perkinson scored twice, Chris DeFillippo had a goal and three assists plus 10 ground balls, Aiden Marcelus had a goal and an assist and Braden SanFilippo, Thomas Halmi, Tyler Ross and Anastagio Muscara each scored once.

Daniel Gonzalez scored both goals for Long Branch and Scott Tavener made 20 saves.

 

 

Class A South

No. 5 Southern 10, Brick Memorial 2

Junior midfielder Zach Washco struck for three goals and three assists and sophomore attackman Joey DeYoung tallied three goals and two assists as the Rams (6-1, 4-0) defeated the Mustangs (6-2, 2-1) to extend their Class A South winning streak to 53 games.

Jake Washco added two goals and one assist, Luke Bruther had a goal and two assists, Ryan Sininsky scored once and Tyler Sininsky made 11 saves behind a defense that held down a high-scoring Brick Memorial offense.

Filipe Correia and Chris Marks each scored once and Luke Ray won 13 of 16 face-offs and picked up nine ground balls for Brick Memorial.

 

Brick 15, Toms River East 3

Justin Kurc scored five goals with one assist and Christian Schlaefer sank four goals with one assist to power the Dragons to a win over the Raiders.

Billy Burdge added two goals and three assists, James Rea had three goals and one assist and Andrew Hynes scored once. Justin Schlaefer had two assists and Timmy Anthony won 11 of 18 face-offs.

 

Toms River South at Central, 3:45 p.m. - postponed to Thursday

 

Class B North

No. 1 Rumson-Fair Haven 16, No. 10 Shore 2

Senior midfielder Patrick Jamin scored four goals and dished out four assists and senior attackman Luke Devlin tallied two goals and three assists as the top-ranked Bulldogs (7-0, 2-0) steamrolled the rival Blue Devils (4-2, 1-1).

Tommy Swain dominated the face-off X by winning 15 of 19 draws to spark the offense. Christian Bockelmann and Cole Cashion provided two goals and one assist each, Connor Spagnuola scored twice, Dan Garvey and Bennett Raphalian both had a goal and an assist, and Matthew Bockelmann scored once.

Ryan Croddick started in goal and made five saves to earn the win, William Setteducate made one save and Marshall Halfacre also saw time in goal.

 

No. 9 Red Bank Catholic at Holmdel, 3:45 p.m. - postponed to Thursday

 

St. John Vianney 15, Neptune 0

Conor Pako scored four goals and Josh O'Leary scored twice along with going 10-for-12 on face-offs to lead the way for the Lancers in their win over the Scarlet Fliers.

Nick Fabrizzi tallied two goals and one assist, Ian Butler and Nick Gambo scored twice. Joe Abarno added a goal and an assist and Kush Mutha scored once. Matthew DeFelice (4 saves) and Jacob Volk (2 saves) combined for the shutout.

 

Class B South

Point Boro 13, Donovan Catholic 12 (OT)

Junior midfielder Nick Campbell scored with 1:51 left in overtime to lift the Panthers (4-2, 1-1) to a thrilling victory over the Griffins (1-3, 0-2).

Donovan Catholic led 5-2 after the first quarter but it was a back-and-forth game from there. Junior midfielder Aidan Kirk tied the game at 12 with 3:54 left in regulation and led the Panthers with four goals, four assists and eight ground balls. Brian Ostrander scored three goals, Campbell had two goals and two assists and Chris Criscuolo scored twice to pace Point Boro's offense. Anthony Guzman added a goal and three assists, Matt Koehler scored once and Patrick Frawley collected eight ground balls. Matthew Azzarano made nine saves.

 

Lacey at No. 4 Wall, 3:45 p.m. - postponed to Thursday

 

Nondivisional

Barnegat 8, St. Rose 7 (2OT)

Senior midfielder John Porcelli sank the game-winning goal with 1:04 left in double overtime as the Bengals (5-1) earned a huge win over the previously-unbeaten Purple Roses (6-1).

Barnegat is off to its best start since 2013 and has surpassed its win total from the last two seasons (2018 and 2019) combined.

Tyler Quinn scored four times and Brian Corliss made 13 saves to lead the Bengals. Porcelli had two goals and Jerry Weir and Andrew Vernieri each scored once.

Logan LeMoult led St. Rose with three goals and two assists. Tim Keegan scored twice, Brendan Dwyer had a goal and four assists, James Magrini scored once and Max MacEachern made 13 saves.
