No. 9 Middletown South 13, Middletown North 2
Seniors Aidan Kane and Luke Platzke each tallied three goals and three assists and junior Luke Rohrmann scored a game-high four goals as the Eagles claimed the annual Lacrosse in Middletown trophy by defeating the Lions.
Steve Kirchner, Colin Gallagher and Tyler Wisniewski each scored once for Middletown South while sophomore Beau Servidio won 13 of 14 face-offs. Sophomore goalie Lucas Ramos made his first varsity start and recorded five saves to earn the win. Senior defenseman Tyler Colacichi had two takeaways, three ground balls and one assist to lead the defense.
Middletown North senior goalie Joey Dam had an outstanding game with 14 saves while Owen Flynn and Thomas Baron each scored goals for the Lions.
