Class A North

No. 9 Middletown South 13, Marlboro 1

Kyle Potterton scored the lone goal for Marlboro while Bryden Delaney made 10 saves.

 

Middletown North 19, Long Branch 1

Sophomore Vinny Valinotti scored his first varsity goal and junior goalie Ryan McInnes earned his first varsity win as the Lions defeated the Green Wave.

Jonathan Miranda led all players with five goals and one assist, Cole Kroeper had four goals and one assist and Tommy Sudyka, Thomas Baron, Reece O'Brien and Anthony Torregrossa each scored twice. Hayden Claudio scored once and Owen Flynn dished out four assists.

Long Branch goalie Scott Tavener made 12 saves and also scored the Green Wave's only goal.

 

Class A South

Jackson Memorial 14, Toms River East 0

Matt DeRosa sank three goals and added three assists, Drew Walenty had three goals and one assist and Alex Ariel also had a hat trick to lead the Jaguars (8-6) to a shutout win over the Raiders.

Walenty's four points put him over the 100-point milestone for his career.

Drew Barocas added a pair of goals, Justin Perillo had a goal and an assist, and Charlie Gumina and James Casaine each scored once. Senior goalie Chad Szatkowski made five saves.

 

Brick 16, Central 3

Senior midfielder James Rea scored six goals and added three assists to lead the Dragons (8-6, 5-1) to a victory over the Golden Eagles (1-13, 0-6).

Billy Burdge delivered two goals and five assists, Christian Schlaefer had three goals and one assist and Chris Whorton scored twice. Justin Schlaefer chipped in with a goal and an assist, and Justin Kurc and Vinny Gallo each scored twice.

 

Class B North

No. 6 Shore 19, Ocean 7

Junior attackman Carson Cooke had a career day with six goals and two assists and freshman midfielder Sam Madalone delivered three goals and two assists as the Blue Devils 9-4) rebounded from a loss in the SCT to earn an emphatic win over the Spartans (6-7).

Junior midfielder Jamie Mazzacco added two goals and two assists, Aidan Murphy also scored twice, and Brady Cooke, Ben Levy, Cory Moeller and Nick Soyer had one goal apiece. Sophomore goalie Walker Hunter made six saves.

Michael Terry and Hunter Lowe each scored twice and Garrett Schwab made 16 saves to lead Ocean. Hyatt Lowe, Rusty Todd and Dale Alto each scored once.

 

Red Bank Catholic 22, Neptune 2

Jack Frisina totaled three goals and four assists and Peter Villare registered two goals and five assists to power the Caseys (4-10, 3-3) to a victory over the Scarlet Fliers (1-13, 0-6).

Brian Vecchio (2 goals), Sam Fertal (2 goals, 1 assist), Colin Brady (3 goals), Ryan Brown (3 goals) and Torin Harmon (3 goals, 1 assist) all had multi-goal games.

Isaiah McCoy scored twice to lead the way for Neptune.

 

No. 8 Red Bank at Holmdel, 6 p.m.

 

Class B South

Lacey 17, Jackson Liberty 8

Senior midfielder Chase Granit scored five goals and assisted on four others to lead the way for Lacey in its win over Liberty.
