No. 7 Middletown South 11, Red Bank Catholic 9

Torin Harmon had two goals and two assists and Jack Bilancione made 12 saves in the loss for Red Bank Catholic.

Middletown South led 7-2 at halftime before the Caseys scored five times in the third quarter to make it a two-goal game heading to the fourth quarter.

Anthony Muniz and Jack Frisna each scored twice, Ryan Brown had a goal and an assist and Jackon Lu and Sam Fertal each scored once.

 

Toms River North 11, Freehold Township 10 (OT)

Sophomore attackman Nick Walano dodged from behind the goal and scored the game-winning goal in overtime to lift the Mariners to a thrilling win over the Patriots.

Walano finished with five goals and one assist while sophomore midfielder Luke Barber tallied three goals and one assist, won 16 of 25 faceoffs and forced a turnover in overtime that led to Walano's game-winning strike. Senior Grett Wallack added a goal and two assists, and senior Tommy Ludolph and freshman Connor Kromer each had a goal and an assist.

Sophomore goalie Evan Singer made 19 saves to back up a defensive effort led by sophomore pole Tim Beahm.

 

Toms River South 6, Jackson Liberty 5

Shane Toal notched a hat trick and Drew Gisinger tallied two goals and two assists as the Indians (2-8) clipped the Lions (2-4) under the lights at Detwiler Stadium.

Aidan Vicidomini added a goal and went 13-for-14 on face-offs. Jacob Hull backstopped the victory by making 11 saves.

 

Holmdel 16, Brick 7

Junior attackman Kyle Kapcsos scored four goals and assisted on two others and senior attackman Joseph Hammer scored four goals with one assist to power the Hornets (5-2) to a win over the Dragons (5-4).

Ryan Bradley and Evan Cohen each tallied two goals and two assists, Will Gilfillan notched a goal and two assists, Aidan Lagana and Jared Battaglia had a goal and an assist each and Jaden Gallo scored once. Andrew Arredondo made 11 saves.

Billy Burdge had two goals and three assists and James Rea delivered three goals and one assist to lead Brick. Justin Kurc added a goal and an assist and Christian Schlaefer scored once.

 

Red Bank 15, St. John Vianney 2

Senior attackman Ryan McGee scored his 100th career goal and finished with seven goals and one assist to lead the way for the Bucs (5-5) in their victory over the Lancers (3-10).

Andrew Pape had a game-high 10 points with four goals and six assists, Henry Spencer totaled two goals and two assists and Ryder Villani had a goal and three assists. Nick Weitz added a goal and an assist and standout LSM Gordon Odgen got the start in goal and made 14 saves.

 

Ocean 11, Middletown North 5

Senior attackman Hunter Lowe scored four goals and added two assists and senior goalie Garrett Schwab made 10 saves to lead the Spartans (4-3) to a victory over the Lions (2-8).

Michael Terry and Josh Thurman each tallied two goals and two assists, Dale Alto scored twice and Hyatt Lowe registered a goal and an assist.

 

Point Boro 7, Marlboro 5

Junior midfielder Aidan Kirk scored twice and added an assist and junior goalie Matthew Azzarano made nine saves to propel the Panthers (6-4) past the Mustangs (2-7).

Anthony Guzman also scored twice while Matt Koehler had a goal and an assist and Aidan Romer and Spencer Knapp sank one goal apiece.

 

Nonconference

Barnegat 17, Lower Cape May 5

Tyler Quinn registered four goals and two assists and John Porcelli also scored four goals as the Bengals (8-1) rolled to a victory over the Caper Tigers.

Aidan Reiser added three goals and three assists, Jerry Weir scored twice and Kurt Bonin, James Corliss, Will Corliss and Robert Sawicki had one goal each.
