No. 5 Southern 16, Toms River South 3

Junior midfielder Ryan Sininsky sank four goals and dished out three assists, sophomore attackman Joey DeYoung had three goals and three assists and sophomore midfielder Kurt Falk won 13 of 14 at face-off X as the Rams (1-1, 1-0) cruised to a victory over the Indians (0-2, 0-1).

Zach Washco, Jake Washco and Konnor Forlai each tallied two goals and one assist, Anthony Arch scored twice and Jake Cornelius scored once.

Joe Genovese and Matt Keefer scored their first varsity goals for Toms River South.

No. 8 Jackson Memorial 9, Manalapan 3

 

St. Rose 9, Marlboro 1

Senior attackman Brendan Dwyer scored tallied three goals and one assist and senior attackman Timmy Keegan and senior midfielder Logan LeMoult had two goals and one assist each to lead the Purple Roses (3-0) past the Mustangs (0-2).

Colin Westhoven contributed a goal and two assists, James Magrini scored once and Max MacEachern made five saves.

 

Brick Memorial 15, Lacey 1

Senior midfielder Darren Romaine powered the offense with six goals and two assists and senior midfielder Luke Ray won 10 of 12 faceoffs and picked up nine ground balls as the Mustangs (3-0) dominated the Lions (1-1).

Brick Memorial raced out to an 8-0 lead in the first quarter and led 11-0 at halftime.

Henry Lindquist added three goals and three assists, Filipe Correia had two goals and one assist and Chris Marks also scored twice. Rob Beshears had a goal and an assist and Matt  Cataldo scored once.
