BRICK TOWNSHIP -- Brick Memorial's boys lacrosse team entered the season with plenty of offensive question marks following the graduation of the program's all-time leading scorer. The Mustangs needed players who were previously secondary and tertiary scoring options to step up and lead the way in 2022.

That is precisely what the Mustangs have received so far and a major reason why they have emerged as one of the best teams in Ocean County.

Senior attackman Henry Lindquist delivered three goals and six assists and senior Dylan Rinyak scored five goals to power Brick Memorial to a 13-1 Shore Conference Class A South victory over archrival Brick Township on Friday night.

Senior midfielder Dan Aulisi added three goals and one assist while sophomore midfielder Lucas Stickle and senior defenseman Chase DeVeau had one goal each. Senior goalie Paul Mazzeo made four saves as the Mustangs extended their winning streak to six games.

Justin Kurc scored the lone goal for Brick (2-9, 1-5).

The Mustangs (9-3, 5-1) entered the season having graduated First Team All-Shore midfielder Darren Romaine along with all-division attackman Filipe Correia, all-division FOGO Luke Ray, plus attackman Chris Marks and LSM Luke Vojtko off a team that went 14-5 and set a program single-season record for wins. Filling the offensive void was task No. 1 and through 12 games it has been Aulisi and Lindquist leading the way with meaningful contributions also coming from Rinyak, senior Rob Beshears, and junior Aiden McBride.

Aulisi, who missed most of last season, has been on fire of late with 31 goals and 15 assists in his last six games. He leads the team with 42 goals plus 17 assists for a team-leading 59 points. Lindquist has scored goals and set up plays with equal efficiency and has 22 goals and 25 assists for 57 points. Rinyak's five-goal performance on Friday gave him 25 for the season. Beshears has provided nine goals and six assists, McBride has 10 goals and three assists, and senior defenseman Chase DeVeau has 10 points with six goals and four assists.

Brick Memorial has also received solid from its specialists. Junior face-off man Christian Valanzola has won 55 percent of face-offs and Mazzeo has made 147 saves with a 66% save percentage.

The Mustangs will qualify for the Shore Conference Tournament and are likely looking at a seed anywhere from 12-15
