American Division

CBA 17, Southern 7

Senior attackman Ryan Martin scored four goals to reach the 100 career goal milestone and lead the Colts (7-3, 3-1) to a divisional victory over the Rams (4-5, 0-5).

Martin is the 13th player in program history to score 100 goals and joins his brother Dan in the pantheon of CBA's all-time leading scorers. The Martin brothers are the second pair of brothers to reach 100 goals for the Colts, joining program legends Tommy and Billy Duerr.

Senior midfielder Cameron D'Alterio notched two goals and one assist and junior LSM Quinn Kelly continued his outstanding season with a goal and two assists. Junior attackman Carter McGuire, sophomore midfielder Ben Breeden, and sophomore Sean Currie each scored twice while junior defenseman Luke Krebs and sophomore attackman Caden Lucich had a goal and an assist each. Junior defenseman Michael Poskay scored his first career goal and junior midfielder Hunter Kilpatrick also scored once.

Freshman FOGO John Little won 10 of 14 face-offs and senior FOGO Cole McManus went 8-for-13 at the X. Senior goalie Brandon Desena made three saves and junior goalie Luke Phillips made four saves.

Junior Joe Kessler led Southern with three goals, freshman Kyle Sininsky had a goal and an assist, and junior Liam Griffin, senior Konnor Forlai, and freshman Cash McVey scored one goal apiece. Freshman Shea O'Donnell added two assists. In goal, junior AJ Mattern made 10 saves and freshman Nick Hughes made five saves.

 

Shore 11, Holmdel 10 (2OT)

Sophomore attackman Reid Spallone converted a pass from junior midfielder Tucker Malfa with one minute left in the second overtime period to lift the Blue Devils (6-2, 3-2) to a dramatic victory over the Hornets (7-3, 2-3).

Holmdel led 4-1 at halftime before Shore surged ahead with a six-goal third quarter to take a 7-6 lead. The Blue Devils led 10-7 with 3:02 left in regulation prior to Holmdel scoring three straight goals to force overtime.

Reid Spallone finished with three goals and three assists and senior attackman Carson Spallone scored a game-high four goals. Malfa delivered three goals and two assists and senior goalie Noah Karaban made nine saves. Freshman Brady McHugh scored once and junior midfielder Lukas Villa dished out two assists.

Sophomore midfielder Jack Cannon led Holmdel with three goals and two assists while sophomore goalie Jack Tiller made 12 saves and junior FOGO Jack Powers went 17-for-27 on face-offs. Senior midfielder Will Gilfillan had two goals and one assist, senior midfielder Gary Collyer scored twice, freshman attackman Finn Buchan had a goal and an assist, and junior attackman Brian Volpe and senior middie Greg Linsalata each scored once.

 

Manasquan 18, Red Bank 10

Junior attackman Brandon Kunz scored a career-high five goals and assisted on another and senior goalie Nick Bounassi reached 300 career saves and scored his first career goal as the Warriors (8-0, 5-0) remained undefeated with a victory over the Bucs (3-7, 0-6).

Manasquan lead 9-4 at halftime and 16-6 heading to the fourth quarter.

Junior attackman Ryan Aldi netted three goals and one assist and senior midfielder Nick Carabetta supplied two goals and two assists. Senior midfielder Brody Muly, junior LSM Parker Harms, and senior Cole Schwartz each scored twice while Bounassi made 10 saves. Junior midfielder Matt Schneider added a goal and an assist, freshman Kieran Schneider had two assists, and junior goalie Pat Loxley made five saves.

Senior midfielder Andrew Pape led Red Bank with three goals and two assists. Sophomore attackman Gabe Pape, freshman Justin Valentino, and junior attackman Jack Tavares each scored twice and sophomore midfielder Ryan Deverin had a goal and an assist. Senior goalie Kyle Borenius made 15 saves.

 

Colonial Division

Jackson Memorial 11, Toms River East 10

Senior attackman Drew Barocas delivered three goals and two assists, senior goalie Russell Cender made 21 saves, and senior FOGO Zach O'Connell went 22-for-25 on face-offs and scored a goal as the Jaguars (5-4, 3-2) knocked off the Raiders (6-2, 3-1) for a pivotal victory that snapped a three-game losing streak.

Sophomore Joe Muzzillo provided three goals and one assist, junior David Walter had two goals and one assist, senior midfielder Elias Craig tallied a goal and an assist, and freshman Dominik Bylecki scored once.

Jackson opened a quick 2-0 lead on goals by Barocas and Walter and never trailed in the game. The Jaguars led 4-3 after the first quarter, 7-6 at halftime, and 8-7 heading to the fourth quarter.

Sophomore attackman Nicholas Caruso scored four goals and junior midfielder Nate Cummings hit for a hat trick and one assist to lead Toms River East. Freshman attackman Gerard Uzzolino had a goal and an assist, senior attackman Patrick Hinkson and junor midfielder Ethan Kelly each scored once, and freshman goalie Ryan Caruso made eight saves.

Jackson's win handed Toms River East its first division loss and gave Manalapan sole possession of first place in the Colonial Division.

 

Point Boro 9, Howell 6

Senior midfielder Matt Woit scored a career-high four goals and senior goalie Colin Cole made eight saves as the Panthers (7-2, 3-2) dispatched the Rebels (3-6, 0-5) for their fifth straight victory.

Senior midfielder Gavin Reid had two goals and one assist while junior attackman Brady Kirk and senior Logan Letts had a goal and an assist each. Junior midfielder Jason Piemonte scored once and senior LSM Dennis Glynn picked up six ground balls.

Sophomore midfielder Cole Reinsdorf scored a career-high four goals to lead Howell. Senior attackman Ian McDow and junior midfielder Nick Turturro each scored once.

 

Middletown South 12, Barnegat 3

Three-goal games from senior attackman Logan Bailin, senior defenseman Owen Richter, and sophomore Luke Gaffney propelled the Eagles (4-3, 3-2) to a win over the Bengals (3-6, 0-5).

Bailin had three goals and one assist, Richter had three goals and 10 ground balls, and Gaffney notched a hat trick. Senior Jake Sawyer contributed a goal and three assists, freshman Ryan Colacichi had a goal and an assist, and sophomore Jackson O'Keefe scored once. Senior goalie Sean Burns made seven saves and junior midfielder Kenny Rodriguez went 9-for-12 at the face-off X.

 

Constitution Division

Marlboro 13, Neptune 1

Freshman Jake Sondak tallied two goals and three assists for his first varsity points and junior attackman Shayne Gallo provided a goal and four assists to lead the Mustangs (3-6, 2-3) past the Scarlet Fliers (1-7, 1-4).

Sophomore midfielder Mason Trombetta sank two goals and assisted on another, junior attackman Sam Shapiro scored twice, sophomore attackman Jack Falcone scored his first varsity goal and added an assist, and senior attackman Jason Sondak also had a goal and an assist.

Junior defenseman Tyler Gellis, junior midfielder AJ Muhlbach, junior midfielder Daniel Onushkanich each scored once while Drew Lichtenthal and Miles Komito each scored their first varsity goals. Brayden Gallo (1 save) and Jack Lichtenthal (2 saves) each saw time in goal.

 

Middletown North 8, Colts Neck 3

Freshman midfielder Noah Fleming scored three times and freshman midfielder Christian Balletto tallied two goals and one assist to lead the way for the Lions (7-1, 5-0) in their victory over the Cougars (3-4, 3-2) that kept them in first place in the division.

Junior Graham Kennedy and senior Hayden Mattos had a goal and an assist each, sophomore Brad Sattan scored twice, and senior Gavin Eremus went 13-for-15 at the face-off X and assisted on a goal.

Middletown North led 4-0 at halftime and 5-2 entering the fourth quarter.

Junior Jayden Molina had a goal and an assist, senior Tyler Roth and junior Tyler Bowden each scored once, and senior goalie Aaron Nasimov made seven saves for Colts Neck.

 

St. John Vianney 8, Freehold Township 6

Junior Brendan Allen connected for a hat trick and sophomore goalie Cameron Esposito made 15 saves to send the Lancers (4-6, 2-3) past the Patriots (4-5, 2-3).

Senior Colin Bradley added two goals and one assist, senior William Keegan had a goal and two assists, junior Kyle Dimarco scored once, and sophomore midfielder Max Menkowitz won 15 of 18 face-offs.

Senior midfielder Nick Carnevale had four goals and one assist and junior goalie Junior Alvarado made 18 saves to lead Freehold Township. Senior attackman Nolan Thompson and junior Brendan Carafagno each scored once.

 

Ocean 14, Long Branch 0

 

 

Freedom Division

Lacey 14, Central 0

Sophomore attackmen Braedyn Gialanella and Ryan Gleason each recorded four goals and two assists and junior goalie Nicholas Vetter made seven saves to earn a shutout as the Lions (4-6, 3-3) blanked the Golden Eagles (4-5, 0-4).

Junior attackman Corey Smith registered three goals and three assists while freshman Luke Miller, junior Connor Simonson, and sophomore Alex Barneman had a goal and an assist each. Sophomore midfielder Jonathan Price dished out two assists and picked up a team-high 12 ground balls.

 

Jackson Liberty 6, Brick Memorial 4

Senior Joshua Friedman and sophomore Jeff White each scored twice, and senior goalie Matt LaBianca made 14 saves as the Lions (8-0, 5-0) remained unbeaten and with a victory over the Mustangs (4-6, 4-1).

Jackson Liberty, Brick Memorial, and Donovan Catholic all entered the day tied for first place in the division.

Senior attackman Paul Capozzi added a goal and an assist and senior Jeffery Keagan scored once. Jackson Liberty led 5-2 at halftime.

Sophomore midfielder Shane Trautweiler scored twice and junior goalie Matt Hillin made 11 saves to lead Brick Memorial. Sophomore attackman Jack Deufemia had a goal and two assists, junior attackman Austin Edwards scored once, and junior FOGO Frank Taylor went 8-for-14 on face-offs.

 

Donovan Catholic 13, Toms River North 5

Senior attackman Jack Farlekas recorded four goals and three assists and junior midfielder Teague Hibbard registered three goals and four assists as both hit 100 career points to highlight the Griffins' (5-2, 4-0) victory over the rival Mariners (1-6, 1-5).

Freshman attackman Gavin Nascimento added two goals,two assists, and eight ground balls while Jake Kerwin had two goals and one assist, senior midfielder Andrew Baltus had a goal and an assist, and junior midfielder Lucas Bova scored once. Sophomore goalie Jack Barone made four saves.
