Senior attackman Ryan Martin recorded a hat trick, senior midfielder Jack Santos delivered two goals and two assists, and standout junior poles Quinn Kelly and Luke Krebs led a staunch CBA defense as the Colts avenged a regular-season loss and knocked off the three-time defending SCT champion Bulldogs to advance to their first SCT final since 2019.
Trailing 4-3 at halftime, the Colts scored the next five goals to take the lead for good, including a 4-0 run in the third quarter that saw them surge past Rumson. Martin scored off a setup from Santos with 9:24 on the clock in the third, then tallied an unassisted strike to give CBA a 5-4 edge. Senior midfielder Cameron D'Alterio followed with a goal off a dodge from seven yards out, and Martin scored in transition with 2:38 left in the quarter to give the Colts an 8-4 lead heading to the fourth quarter.
Rumson went with a 10-man ride early in the fourth quarter and CBA was able to beat it for a goal when junior midfielder Hunter Kilpatrick grabbed the rebound and scored after the initial shot from Martin went off the post and caromed in front of the crease. Rumson closed the gap to 8-5 on a goal by Grayson Goldin at 7:30 and made it 8-6 on a goal by Leo Passalaqua with 36 seconds left, but CBA was able to hold the lead and clinch the victory.
In addition to Martin's three goals and Santos's four points, D'Alterio finished with two goals, Kilpatrick scored once, Krebs had an assist, and freshman John Little went 10-for-17 at the face-off X. Senior goalie Brandon Desena wasn't tested often but came up with two clutch saves in the fourth quarter to help preserve the lead. Rumson received goals from Jake Cahill, Andry Croddick, defensemen Brody Page and Frank Argilagos, and Goldin and Passalaqua. Freshman goalie Seamus Gorman made five saves.
CBA will face Manasquan in the Shore Conference Tournament championship game at 5 p.m. on Monday, May 20 at Monmouth University.

Junior attackman Ryan Aldi erupted for a career-high six goals and eight points and senior goalie Nick Bounassi turned aside 10 shots as the Warriors (13-1) steadily pulled away from the Hornets (12-5) to advance to their seventh SCT final in the last eight seasons.
The game was tied 2-2 after the first quarter before Manasquan scored five teams in the second quarter for a 7-2 halftime lead and then added five more goals in the third quarter to blow the game open. Junior midfielder Matt Schneider recorded a hat trick plus one assist, senior midfielder Brody Muly notched two goals and one assist, and junior attackman Brandon Kunz tallied a goal and two assists. The defense joined the scoresheet as well with senior Connor Kelly and junior Parker Harms each recording a goal and an assist.
Senior midfielder Will Gilfillan posted two goals and two assists and senior midfielder Gary Collyer had two goals and one assist to lead Holmdel. Junior attackman Brian Volpe scored once and sophomore goalie Jack Tiller made 11 saves.
Manasquan will face third-seeded CBA in the SCT championship game at 5 p.m. on Monday at Monmouth University.

Colonial Division
Toms River East 15, Point Boro 2
Junior midfielder Nate Cummings scored six goals and assisted on another and sophomore attackman Nicholas Caruso registered four goals and one two assists as the Raiders (11-5) throttled the Panthers (13-4) for an impressive victory to close division play.
Freshman attackman Gerard Uzzolino added three goals and two assists and senior attackman Patrick Hinkson scored twice.
Nondivisional
Manalapan 8, Red Bank 7 (OT)
Senior attackman Christian Zdziarski scored the game-tying goal with six seconds left in regulation and buried the game-winning goal in the overtime period as the Braves (12-4) rallied to stun the Bucs (7-10).
Zdziarski finished with four goals and one assist and sophomore goalie Connor Doel made 10 saves to reach the 300-save milestone for his career. Senior midfielder Marc Stefanelli recorded a hat trick and senior attackman Michael Bonner had a goal and an assist.
Senior midfielder Andrew Pape led Red Bank with two goals and two assists. Junior attackman Gabe Pape registered two goals and one assist, freshman Justin Valentino scored twice, and senior Finn Tierney posted a goal and two assists. Senior goalie Kyle Borenius made 10 saves.
Nonconference
Neptune 4, Ewing 0
Freshman midfielder Hunter Reynolds recorded a hat trick and picked up 16 ground balls, Joshua Perry scored once, and freshman goalie Christian Loff made six saves as the Scarlet Fliers (3-10) blanked the Blue Devils (1-15).
Robbinsville 14, Middletown South 7
Senior attackman Logan Bailin led the Eagles (6-9) with four goals and one assist in their loss to the Ravens (10-5).
Senior defenseman Will Nugent scored twice, junior Joe Sarci scored once, senior defenseman Owen Richter had three assists, and senior goalie Sean Burns made seven saves.
