CLASS A SOUTH

Jackson Memorial 8, Toms River North 6

Freshman midfielder Aaron Hutchinson netted four goals with one assist and senior attackman Dakota Neron had a hat trick plus one assist as the Jaguars (8-3, 3-2) held off the Mariners (6-6, 3-3).

Santo Porazzo scored once, John Chitren had two assists and defenseman Sean Duggan had a game-high 10 ground balls along with one assist for Jackson. Senior goalie Dylan Furnback made 15 saves.

Andrew Lombardi had a hat trick and Noah Squires made nine saves for Toms River North.

 

Toms River East 11, Brick 8

 

 

NONDIVISIONAL

No. 8 Ocean 9, No. 10 Middletown South 5

The Spartans (11-2) trailed by four goals early in the third quarter before putting together a furious rally to defeat the host Eagles (7-2) and halt their seven-game winning streak.

Ocean scored the final eight goals of the game with senior midfielder Sam Hanna leading the way with five goals and one assist. Jesse Gionatti and Holden Lowe each scored twice and Jordan Ornowski had three assists. Senior goalie David Walk made 11 saves.

Pete Lawson and Alec Madden each scored twice for Middletown South. Noah Diodato scored once and Matt Marino made seven saves.

 

St. Rose 12, Holmdel 5

Senior attackman Griffin McDermott scored a game-high five goals and added a game-high three assists, while junior attackman Shane Reilly tallied two goals and two assists to reach 100 career points and lead the Purple Roses (8-3) topped the Hornets (5-6).

Chris Bormida had a hat trick with one assist, Billy Frost and Mike Kinsel scored once and Robbie Brugnoli made 12 saves for St. Rose.

Jake Preziose scored twice and Tom Andersen made 11 saves to lead Holmdel. Billy DiMaio, Justin Arredondo and Kevin Burmeister each scored once.

 

Marlboro 7, Red Bank 6

 

NONCONFERENCE

Steinert 17, Neptune 6

Chase Fairbanks and Jahi Neely each scored twice while Dylan Andrada and Tyler Rossi had one goal apiece for the Scarlet Fliers.

Steinert led 7-5 at halftime but pulled away with eight goals in the third quarter.
