Junior Kevin Kiernan started his season with two second-half goals that rallied his Southern Regional boys soccer team - ranked No. 7 in the Shore Sports Network Top 10 - to an opening-day win over Manalapan on the road.

Senior Jeremy Winn and sophomore Kerem Satar set up the two goals by Kiernan with assists, the first to tie the game in the 47th minute and the second in the 68th to give the Rams the lead.

Senior Lucas Moreira opened the scoring with a goal in the 23rd minute off a pass from fellow senior Mike Schimbeno as the Braves took a 1-0 lead into halftime.
