7 Questions With The Author Of A New Book On The History Of Shore Conference Football

Quite a while ago I received an email from NICK SCERBO about an ambitious project he was working on…writing a history of Shore Conference High School Football.  A 2008 graduate of what is now Donovan Catholic, Scerbo played football for the Griffins under both Dennis Tobin & Dan Duddy. Last July he emailed me that the project was nearing completion with the book titled 48 Minutes Forever: A History of High School Football in New Jersey’s Shore Conference.

 With years of research completed Nick, who now teaches and coaches at Pascack Hils High School in Montvale was at that time going to focus on finding a way to publish the book and I told him when it was ready to go I would gladly help spread the word. We are at that point as Nick has found a publisher in Mascot Books and with the help of Kickstarter hopes to have it available for the public soon.

We talked about a project that is a decade in the making .
