The Week 4 (April 22-April 28) winner is Middletown North senior attackman Quinn Aker, who scored 11 goals and 12 assists in three games to reach the 100-point milestone for his career. Aker and all Player of the Week recipients this season will receive a $25 Surf Taco gift card.

Aker began his week with a career-high 10 points on five goals and five assists in a win over Barnegat to reach the 100-point mark. The Lions then defeated Marlboro, 16-8, and Aker was again among the leading scorers with three goals and three assists. Aker and Middletown North closed out their week with a 17-1 win over Long Brach where Aker tallied three goals and four assists.

Aker has 22 goals and 30 assists on the season and his play has helped Middletown North to an 8-5 record. The Lions qualified for the Shore Conference Tournament as the No. 17 seed and will play Toms River North in the opening round at 4 p.m. on Friday.

Aker garnered 24 percent of the votes to win the Player of the Week poll by a narrow margin over Red Bank Catholic’s Ryan Schellin.
