American Division

Manasquan 15, Southern 5

Senior midfielder Brody Muly scored a career-high seven goals and added one assist and junior attackman Brandon Kunz tallied four goals and two assists as the Warriors (4-0, 2-0) scored nine unanswered goals in the second half to blow open a close game and defeat the Rams (3-2, 0-2).

Manasquan led 6-5 at halftime before scoring seven goals in the third quarter to take a 13-5 advantage to the fourth. Sophomore midfielder Lucas Longo had a goal and an assist and junior midfielder Matt Schneider, junior LSM Parker Harms, and junior midfielder Pat Frost each scored once.

Liam Griffin scored three goals and Anthony Arch had a goal and an assist to lead Southern. Joe Kessler scored once, AJ Mattern made six saves, and Nick Hughes made nine saves.

 

CBA 14, Wall 3

Senior attackman Ryan Martin scored four goals and assisted on another and junior midfielder Davis Campbell also sank four goals as the Colts (4-1, 1-0) started fast and put away the Crimson Knights (1-2, 1-1) for an impressive victory.

CBA opened a 7-0 lead over the first nine minutes of the game and never looked back, taking an 11-1 lead into halftime and stretching that advantage to 14-1 through three quarters.

Sophomore attackman Caden Lucich had two goals and three assists and freshman FOGO John Little won 14 of 17 face-offs. Junior LSM Quinn Kelly continued his tremendous season by providing a goal and three assists, junior midfielder Hunter Kilpatrick had a goal and two assists, and junior defenseman Luke Krebs and freshman attackman Turner Cooke each scored once. Senior midfielder Jack Santos added three assists and senior goalie Brandon Desena made three saves.

Wall played without standout junior face-off midfielder Michael Hoarle, a Bryant University commit who won 36 of 47 draws over the first two games. Sophomore midfielder Patrick Freud scored twice, senior midfielder Will Madden scored once, and senior goalie Lucas Seelinger made six saves.

 

Colonial Division

Toms River East 9, Red Bank Catholic 8

Junior midfielder Nate Cummings scored the game-winning goal with one second remaining in regulation to send the Raiders (3-0, 1-0) to a heart-pounding victory over the Caseys (3-2, 1-1) in a pivotal division contest.

Cummings had a game-high five goals plus one assist while sophomore attackman Nicholas Caruso delivered three goals and two assists and freshman attackman Ferard Uzzolino scored once. Freshman goalie Ryan Caruso was outstanding in goal with double-digit saves.

Freshman midfielder Joe Egan had a hat trick and senior attackman Jackson Lu scored twice to lead RBC. Senior midfielder Brian Vecchio won 13 of 16 face-offs and scored a goal, junior attackman Leo Cosimano and sophomore Frank Tackett each scored once, and senior goalie Gianvito Viola made five saves.

 

Jackson Memorial 12, Barnegat 5

Sophomore Joe Muzzillo tallied four goals and two assists and Zach O'Connrll went 17-for-19 at the face-off X to steer the Jaguars (2-1, 1-1) to a victory over the Bengals (2-2, 0-2).

Senior attackman Drew Barocas and senior midfielder Elias Craig each had three goals and one assist and junior David Walter scored twice.

 

Manalapan 9, Point Boro 3

Junior Matt Avivi scored four goals and senior attackman Anthony Macchio dished out two assists to become the program's first player to reach 100 career points as the Braves (2-1, 2-0) earned an important road victory over the Panthers (2-0, 0-1).

Seniors Michael Bonner scored twice, senior midfielder Dylan Friedman had a goal and an assist, and senior midfielder Marc Stefanelli and junior Jake Schatz each scored once. Senior attackman Christian Zdziarski had three assists.

Junior attackman Brady Kirk had a goal and two assists and senior goalie Colin Cole made 19 saves to lead Point Boro. Senior Logan Letts and junior Jason Piemonte scored one goal each.

Manalapan led 5-2 at halftime and 7-2 heading to the fourth quarter.

 

Middletown South 10, Howell 9 (OT)

Senior attackman Logan Ballin delivered two goals and five assists and senior defenseman Owen Richter recorded two goals and three assists to lead the Eagles (1-1, 1-0) to a thrilling victory over the Rebels (2-2, 0-2).

Senior Jake Sawyer added two goals and one assist while sophomores Luke Gaffney and Jackson O'Keefe and freshman Ryan Colacichi each scored once. Senior goalie Sean Burns made two saves.

Senior attackman Jon Peal Pepe notched a hat trick, junior attackman Jayden Devino had two goals and two assists, and senior attackman Ian McDow had a goal and three assists to lead Howell. Sophomore midfielder Cole Reinsdorf scored twice and sophomore midfielder Alexzander Mooneyhan scored once.

 

Constitution Division

Middletown North 19, Neptune 1

Senior midfielder/attackman Hayden Mattos scored four goals and added one assist and freshman Christian Balletto scored three goals and assisted on two others to power the Lions (2-0, 2-0) to a convincing victory over the Scarlet Fliers (0-2, 0-2).

Sophomore goalie Logan Schettino made one save to earn the victory in his first varsity game. Junior goalie Mario Lorenson made three saves and sophomore goalie Shawn Gearl made three saves in his first varsity action. Junior Graham Kennedy and senior Tim Cherney had a goal and three assists each, Junior Keaghan Gassler and senior Gavin Eremus each had two goals and one assist and sophomore Brad Sattan scored twice. Freshman Noah Fleming and sophomores AJ Beach had a goal and an assist each and sophomores Kieran Metro and Lucas Baron scored once. Sattan, Beach, Metro, and Baron recorded their first varsity goals.

 

Marlboro 15, Long Branch 1

 

Colts Neck 9, Freehold Township 5

Junior Tyler Bowden scored five goals and senior goalie Aaron Nasimov made 17 saves as the Cougars (2-1, 2-0) outscored the Patriots (2-2, 1-1) 5-1 in the fourth quarter to pull away for the victory.

Senior midfielder Ethan Sloane scored twice, senior Luke Petino had a goal and an assist, junior Jayden Molina scored once, and seniors Tyler Roth and Luike Ferraro each dished out three assists.

Senior Nick Carnevale had three goals and one assist, juniors Brendan Carfagno and Ryan Rowolt each scored once, and junior goalie Junior Alvarado made 13 saves to lead Freehold Township.

 

Ocean 9, St. John Vianney 8

Sophomore attackman Connor Hovlenski scored the eventual game-winning goal off a pass from senior midfielder Ben Girard with six minutes left in regulation and sophomore goalie River Pinto made 19 saves to lead the Spartans (3-2, 2-0) past the Lancers (0-3, 0-2) in a back-and-forth game.

Girard had a game-high six points on three goals and three assists and Hovlenski had four goals and one assist to lead Ocean's offense. Senior defenseman Matthew Mosey and sophomore attackman James Knight each scored once and senior pole Willie Canavan had two assists and led the way on defense.

Senior midfielder Colin Bradley scored three goals and added one assist and senior attackman William Keegan scored twice to lead Saint John Vianney. Juniors Brendan Allen and Matt Doherty and senior LSM Declan Greene each scored once and sophomore FOGO Max Menkowitz went 15-for-20 at the face-off X.

 

Freedom Division

Brick Memorial 11, Toms River North 3

Sophomore attackman Nick Correia scored five goals and added two assists to lead the Mustangs (2-2, 2-0) past the Mariners (0-3, 0-2).

Sophomore midfielder Shane Trautweiler tallied three goals and one assist, sophomore attackman Jack Deufemia had two goals and one assist, and junior attackman Austin Edwards scored once. Junior goalie Matt Hillin made seven saves.

Brick Memorial lead 6-1 at halftime and 9-2 entering the fourth quarter.

 

Brick 9, Central 2

 

Jackson Liberty 11, Toms River South 5

Senior attackman Paul Capozzi scored six goals and assisted on two others and senior goalie Matt LaBianca made 19 saves to send the Lions (3-0, 2-0) to a victory over the Indians (0-3, 0-2).

Capozzi has 26 points in three games and has scored at least five goals in each game. LaBianca has made at least 15 saves in all three games and has 54 stops so far this season.

Sophomore Jeff White added a goal and two assists, senior Jeffrey Keagan had a goal and an assist, and sophomore Kyle Butcher and seniors Joe Accordino and Joshua Friedman each scored once.

 

Donovan Catholic 21, Lacey 9

Monster games from senior midfielder Andrew Baltus, junior midfielder Teague Hibbard, and freshman attackman Gavin Nascimento powered the Griffins (2-1, 2-0) to a victory over the Lions (1-3, 1-1).

Hibbard scored a career-high eight goals and added two assists for a 10-point game. Baltus scored five goals, dished out four assists, and went 16-for-17 on face-offs. Nascimento scored seven times and assisted on two other DC goals. Junior midfielder Lucas Bova had a goal and an assist and sophomore goalie Jack Barone made four saves.

Donovan jumped out to a 9-0 lead after the first quarter and led 12-4 at halftime and 18-6 entering the fourth quarter.

Junior attackman Corey Smith had three goals and two assists and sophomore attackman Braedyn Gialanella had two goals and three assists for Lacey. Freshman Luke Miller scored twice, sophomore Ryan Gleason scored once, and junior goalie Nicholas Vetter made 12 saves.
