We apologize as we are experiencing technical issues with our Game of the Week broadcast.

The war of attrition continues in the American Division again on Friday night when Toms River North visits Middletown South in the Jersey Mike’s Game of the Week on the Shore Sports Network.  The 7 p.m. contest will be streamed live on shoresportsnetwork.com with Matt Harmon, Kevin Williams and Ed Sarluca calling the action.  You can also watch the game by downloading the free Shore Sports Network mobile app.

The Mariners are coming off their first loss of the season last week when they fell to division rival Red Bank Catholic 21-6.  North’s offense was held in check as quarterback Jack Kazanowsky struggled against a relentless defense.  Despite the loss, they remain very much alive in the race for the American title, trailing first-place Rumson by just a half-game with two games left in the division.  Meanwhile, the Eagles are just 1-3 overall and coming off a 26-14 loss to Long Branch.  However, they have plenty to play for and are very much alive in the race for an NJSIAA playoff spot. It was last year when Middletown South beat TR North by just one point which gave them the division championship.
