Frank Edgerly and Dom Lepore each have more than ten years of head coaching experience in the Shore Conference but tonight one of them will come away with a signature first victory as Howell hosts Manalapan in the Jersey Mike’s Game of the Week on the Shore Sports Network.

Edgerly is in his first season at Howell after building a powerhouse over 14 years at Red Bank Catholic. He inherits a Rebels program that is coming off back-to-back one-win seasons and dropped a 15-14 heartbreaker to Freehold Township last week. A bright spot was senior running back Hunter Lino who scored two touchdowns, one on a 64-year pass from JT Goodman and the other on an 11-yard run.

Meanwhile, Lepore didn’t have to get new gear for his assignment at Manalapan where he replaced longtime coach Ed Gurrieri. The former Freehold Township head coach has been a Braves assistant since 2013 and served as defensive coordinator the past four seasons. His debut as head coach resulted in a 14-12 upset loss to Freehold despite the efforts of senior quarterback Mike DeMayo who threw for 161 yards and 2 TDs.

Tonight’s game in Howell starts at 6:30 and will be streamed live on shoresportsnetwork.com and the free Shore Sports Network app with Matt Harmon, Kevin Williams and Ed Sarluca calling the action. All football broadcasts are produced in conjunction with EVideo Productions.

SSN Live is presented by Jersey Mike’s and Brielle Orthopedics at Rothman. Participating sponsors are the Lester Glenn Auto Group, Atlantic Physical Therapy Center, Surf Taco and Carl’s Fencing, Decking and Home Improvements.
