The fans of the Shore have made their choices, which means it is time to reveal the winners of the Week 2 selections for Player and Pitcher of the Week. We will start with Shore Sports Network's picks, followed by the winners of the fan vote.

Shore Sports Network Shore Conference Week 2 Player of the Week

Tommy Ruth, Sr., SS/RHP, Red Bank

Ruth had key moments last week in a win over Ranney and an 8-8 tie vs. Manasquan, but he essentially carried his team to an 8-7 win over Freehold Boro. He came on in relief to win the game on the mound (one earned run in 3 1/3 innings) and went 3-for-4 with three doubles and five RBI at the plate. Ruth also earned the save vs. Ranney and was 6-for-11 with five doubles, six runs and seven RBI in three games during the week.

Shore Sports Network Shore Conference Week 2 Pitcher of the Week

Phil Kramer, Sr., LHP, Raritan

There have been a wave of no-hitters at the Shore this season and Kramer was the first pitcher to claim one for himself. Holmdel scored 19 runs in two games vs. Rumson-Fair Haven to open the season, but had no answer for Kramer, who struck out five and walked one in finishing off his no-hitter on just 79 pitches in a 1-0 Rockets win.

Fan Vote Player Shore Conference Week 1 Player of the Week

Logan Koeppel, Jr., 1B/RHP, Howell

Koeppel took the ball against Freehold Township for his first start on the mound in 2024 and did much more than just pitch his team to victory. The junior right-hander indeed did his part on the mound, pitching a complete game, four-hitter with six strikeouts and six walks in a 6-3 Rebels win. He was also a factor at the plate, going 1-for-2 with a walk, a pair of runs scored and an RBI.

The two-way performance was part of a big week for Koeppel, who went 5-for-14 with a double, six runs scored and three RBI in four games last week.

Koeppel coasted to the Week 2 win in the Player of the Week fan vote, collecting 56 percent of the vote. Red Bank Catholic senior Sean Griggs was this week's runner-up at 19 percent.

Fan Vote Shore Conference Week 2 Pitcher of the Week

Danny Opramolla, Sr., RHP, Freehold Boro

Freehold Boro has been a more competitive team this season than it has been in recent years, but the Colonials did not have a win to show for it through five games. Game No. 6 vs. Neptune was an opportunity for Freehold Boro to break through, especially with Opramolla on the mound.

The Colonials needed their senior workhorse to go the distance and then some with the game tied, 3-3, through seven innings. Freehold Boro needed three additional outs from Opramolla to secure a 6-3 win over the Scarlet Fliers in eight innings and the senior delivered, finishing with 10 strikeouts, seven hits allowed and three walks on 110 pitches in eight complete innings.

Opramolla won a close vote over Toms River East junior Mason Pentz to win this week's contest, 26 percent to 23. Kramer came in third with 15 percent and Barnegat's Jaihan Dominguez also cleared double-digits with 13.7 percent.
