(10) Middletown North 3, (19) Rumson-Fair Haven 1
Dylan Briggs scorched an RBI triple during a three-run third inning for Middletown North, which rode its two junior veterans on the mound to a win over the Bulldogs. Gabe Ahlemeyer picked up his first win of the season on the mound and Zach Hampton -- who pitched a five-inning complete game Saturday in under 60 pitches -- closed it out with a two-inning save.

Class A South
No. 4 Toms River East 10, No. 8 Jackson Memorial 9
Joey DiMeo, Luke Brush and Matt Ferrara each had a two-run hit during an eight-run fifth inning and Dan Nafziger pitched into and out of trouble in the bottom of the seventh to nail down a critical divisional win for the Raiders over the Jaguars -- the first of three meetings between the Class A South rivals in a span of four days.
After a balk brought home the first run of the fifth inning and cut Jackson Memorial's lead to 7-3, DiMeo doubled home a pair of runs to pull the Raiders within 7-5. Brush then tied it one batter later with a two-run single.
The go-ahead run scored on a wild pitch, followed by a two-run triple by Ferrara that capped the rally and proved to be the difference.
Jackson Memorial drew closer with runs on an error and a passed ball in the bottom of the sixth and Julian Caruso got the Jaguars started in the seventh by reaching on an error. Jackson Osmond followed with a single to rightfield to put two runners on with one out and Nafziger closed the game out with a strikeout and a fielder's choice groundout to third.

Manchester 14, Lacey 7
The Hawks scored 11 runs in the top of the seventh inning through gritted teeth, collecting five hits and getting hit by five pitches during the rally on the way to a furious come-from-behind win over the Lions for their sixth win in the last seven games.
Colton Sitarik and Pat McKay hit back-to-back RBI singles to pull Manchester within 7-5 and Manchester took the lead on a hit-by-pitch, followed by an error that allowed the tying and go-ahead runs to score. Riley Wescott also notched an RBI single and McKay added a second RBI single to cap the scoring in the half-inning. Sitarik also drove in a second RBI in the inning with a sacrifice fly.
Sitarik and McKay also had run-scoring hits in the top of the sixth inning, during which Manchester scored three runs to cut a 6-0 deficit in half.
