Opening Round

 (7) Middletown South 70, (10) Ocean 45

Junior Brady Hahn poured in 17 points and sophomore Matt Trimble pitched in 14 to lead the Eagles in a rout of the Spartans. Middletown South moves on to the Coaches Cup quarterfinals on Friday and will host No. 15 Long Branch.

(13) Brick 68, (4) Keyport 64

Sophomore Mike Sullivan went off for 28 points and 15 rebounds as the Green Dragons battled past the Red Raiders on the road to reach the quarterfinals of the Coaches Cup Friday at No. 12 Pinelands.

Freshman Jamel Pitts also drained a career-high 23 and junior Jayden Johnson contributed eight points and 10 assists for Brick.

Junior Dominico Dispenza scored 19 points and senior Mike Nichols added 16 to lead Keyport. Sophomore Darius Applewhite also threw in 11 points in the loss.

(3) Jackson Memorial 54, (14) Raritan 26

Senior Anthony Hallihan led a well-rounded effort by the Jaguars with 13 points and six rebounds as Jackson Memorial handled the Rockets to advance to the quarterfinals.

Senior Devin Jones added nine points for Jackson Memorial, which will host No. 6 Wall on Friday.

Sophomore Cam Gabloff led Raritan with eight points.

(6) Wall 60, (11) Jackson Liberty 44

Sophonmore Liam Killea connected on seven three-pointers on the way to a career-high 26 points as the Crimson Knights raced past the Lions and into the Coaches Cup quarterfinals Friday at Jackson Memorial.

Senior Bo Pepe pitched in 10 points and junior Brian McKenna added nine for Wall.

Senior Lukas Latvys scored 13 points and classmate Charlie Callahana netted 12 to lead Jackson Liberty.

(15) Long Branch 52, (2) Brick Memorial 41

Senior Peter Da Cruz scored 17 points and the Green Wave took to the road and knocked off the Mustangs to advance to Friday's quarterfinal at No. 7 Middletown South.

Sophomore Quentin Fisher added nine points, while senior Jahki Willis and junior Joseph Corley each added eight for Long Branch.

Junior Sean Collins scored 10 points and senior Isaiah Crispin pitched in nine to lead Brick Memorial.

(1) Manchester 52, (16) Neptune 42

Junior Aidan Lunn and seniors Jaymire Watts and Tre Ross combined for 47 of Manchester's 52 points as the Hawks fought off the Scarlet Fliers to earn a quarterfinal home game Friday against No. 8 Middletown North.

Lunn led the way with 21 points, five rebounds and four assists, while Watts posted 17 points and Ross went for nine points and four assists.

Junior Jayden Myrthill led Neptune with 18 points.

(8) Middletown North 54, (9) Lacey 40

Senior Jason Quardt scored 21 points and Middletown North took out Lacey in a battle of the Lions.

Junior Colin Byrne added nine points for Middletown North, which will travel to top-seeded Manchester Friday for the Coaches Cup quarterfinals.

Junior Jon Stabile led Lacey with 15 points and five steals.

(12) Pinelands 54, (5) Freehold Twp. 48

Senior Gerald Newsome scored 21 points and the Wildcats won a back-and-forth game over the Patriots to reach the Coaches Cup quarterfinals, which Pinelands will host Friday against No. 13 Brick.

Junior Ty Kline poured in 16 points and junior Braden Fence chipped in 11 for Pinelands.

Senior Andrew Silverman matched Newsome with a game-high 21 points to lead Freehold Township.

Toms River South 56, Academy Chartere 41

Senior Kai Barckley scored 29 points and classmate Robert Peirson pitched in 10 to lead the Indians to a bounceback win over Academy Charter after a hard-fought loss to Howell Tuesday in the Shore Conference Tournament opening round.
