CLASS A NORTH

Colts Neck 14, Neptune 7

Senior attackman Vinny Gargiulo fired in six goals and junior midfielder Nick Lago scored two goals with five assists to lead the Cougars (2-3, 1-0) past the Scarlet Fliers (1-2, 0-1) in the divisional opener for both teams.

Junior attackman Dan San Fillippo scored two goals with two assists and fellow junior attackman Nick DiBella also scored twice. Zack Alagna and Alex Geissler scored once and Mike Franco made 18 saves.

Tyler Rossi and Kevin Clohosey each scored twice for Neptune with Dylan Andrada, Nick Brown and Chase Fairbanks scoring one goal apiece.

 

CLASS A SOUTH

 Toms River North 10, No. 7 Brick Memorial 6

Senior attackman Andrew Lombardi scored three goals with two assists, senior midfielder Alex Grella had three goals and one assist and senior face-off middie Dylan Pelago 15 of 19 draws to lead the Mariners to a key divisional victory at Gernard Field.

Junior attackman Brandon Indelicato added two goals and freshman freshman attackman Hayden Baranker chipped in with a goal and two assists for Toms River North (4-1, 2-0). Travis Krysiewicz also scored and senior goalie Noah Squires made five saves.

Senior midfielder Mike Moran scored a game-high four goals to lead Brick Memorial (2-2, 0-1). Junior attackman Joey Ferrera added one goal and two assists and senior attackman Henry Moran scored once. Senior Matt Wood made nine saves.

 

CLASS B NORTH

No. 2 Rumson-Fair Haven 18, Long Branch 1

Chris Lucas scored five goals and Alex Bruckman notched a hat trick as the Bulldogs (4-1, 1-0) overpowered the Green Wave (0-3, 0-1).

Nick Sullivan and Jacob Waters each finished with two goals and one assist for Rumson. Billy Garavente, Oliver Heins, Thomas Lizotte, Alex Maldjian, Colin Pavluk and Drew Shaw each scored once.

Troy Aretino scored the lone goal for Long Branch.

 

St. John Vianney 8, No. 9 Ocean 7

Ryan Gilfillan had two goals with two assists and Matt Franzoni and Chris Kelly each had two goals and one assist to lead the Lancers (2-3, 2-0) past the Spartans (3-1, 0-1).

Tino D'Amore and Andrew Poretta each scored once while Anthony Brett had four assists. C.J. Hanson made 17 saves.

Sam Hanna scored three times and added an assist while Holden Lowe had two goals and two assists for Ocean. Mike Huelster added one goal and one assist, Mike Nies scored once and David Walk made 19 saves in goal.

 

Shore 18, Red Bank Catholic 6

Ryan Morris scored a game-high five goals while Jack McCrae sank four goals with two assists and Tom Bocco also scored four times to power the Blue Devils (2-2, 1-0) past the Caseys (1-3, 0-1) in the B North opener for both teams.

Lucas Jackey added two goals while Gil Goldsmith had one goal and three assists for Shore. Ean Delehanty and Jake Turner each scored once.

Jack Kapcsos scored twice for Red Bank Catholic while Jack Zenkert, Joey Caputo, Dom Depiero and Ryan Schellin had one goal each.

 

CLASS B SOUTH

No. 8 Wall 17, St. Rose 2

 

NONDIVISIONAL

Holmdel 8, Middletown North 7

Billy DiMaio scored four goals and Kevin Burmeister added three goals and one assist as the Hornets (2-2) edged the Lions (1-3).

Jake Preziose scored once and Justin Arredondo dished out four assists for Holmdel. Jack Cook went 14-for-19 on face-offs and picked up 10 ground balls while Nick Tucillo made 10 saves.

Brock Zenker had a game-high five points with four goals and one assist to lead Middletown North. Shawn Haskins scored twice and Quinn Aker had one goal as the Lions nearly rallied from a five-goal deficit in the fourth quarter.
