Junior Mike Montenegro delivered a game-winning RBI single to left-center with two out in the bottom of the seventh and the Indians (6-2, 5-2) walked off with a win over the Green Dragons (1-6, 1-5).

Montenegro finished 2-for-4 with two RBI and senior Matt Hartshorn kicked off the scoring with a two-run single in the bottom of the first.

Junior Logan Spakowski earned the win in relief of starter Gabe Driscoll after entering the game with runners on the corners and none out with the score tied, 3-3, in the top of the sixth. Spakowski retired all six batters he faced.

Senior Christian Malta got Brick on the board with an RBI single and senior Tyler Skurat tied the game with a two-run single.

Class B North

Matawan 5, St. John Vianney 4

The Huskies scored four times in the top of the fourth to rally for a win over the Lancers. Senior Jackson Hercek and junior Griffin Falco ripped back-to-back RBI doubles to catapult the Huskies into the lead - Hercek's to tie the game, Falco's to give Matawan the lead.

Junior Ben Poricelli added an RBI single that proved to be the game-winning hit when St. John Vianney responded with two runs in the bottom of the seventh.

Senior Brandon Sansone hit the single-game pitch limit one out away from a shutout, settling for 6 2/3 shutout frames in a Seraphs (6-1, 6-0) win over the Panthers (4-2, 3-2). Sansone allowed four hits and four walks and struck out seven before passing the ball to freshman Ashton Mejias to record the final out.

Junior Johnny Eckert opened the scoring for Mater Dei with an RBI single in the top of the first and junior Pat Mastro later added a two-run triple to key the Seraphs offensive attack.
