Joe Pignatelli hit an RBI single in Colts Neck's four-run first and clocked a two-run double in a three-run fourth to spark the Cougars to a win over the Colts that tightens up the Class A North division title race with two games to go for al the remaining contenders.

CBA and Middletown South are now tied for first place with 9-3 division records for each. Colts Neck and Marlboro both trail by one game at 8-4 each. Colts Neck's two remaining division games are against CBA on Tuesday and Marlboro on Thursday. After hosting Colts Neck on Tuesday, CBA will travel to Middletown South on Thursday in the Class A North finale for both teams.

Suarez's scoreless outing marked his third consecutive complete game shutout and he has now pitched 20 2/3 consecutive scoreless innings.

Ray Mulhern and Aiden Miller had key RBI hits and Joe Nascimento recorded the final out with the bases loaded in the top of the seventh, giving the Rams a win over the Green Dragons that clinched Southern its first outright Class A South championship since 1986.

Mulhern opened the scoring with an RBI single in the bottom of the third inning and Miller hit a two-out RBI triple to make it 3-0 in the bottom of the fourth.

Brody Moore delivered a two-out, go-ahead RBI single to rightfield in the top of the eighth and James Martin closed it out on the mound to five the Mustangs a win over the Raiders.

Jimi Popp singled with two out in the top of the eighth and stole second base to get into scoring position for Moore, whose opposite-field single chased Popp home with the winning run.

Matt Ferrara tied the game for Toms River East with an RBI single in the bottom of the fifth and collected his third single of the game with one out in the top of the eighth to put the tying run aboard for the Raiders. Martin responded by inducing a pair of fly outs to end the game.

Mark Consolazio capped a huge game at the plate with a tie-breaking two-run single in the bottom of the sixth inning and fellow senior Danny Trentacosta struck out the side in order in the top of the seventh to nail down the save, giving the Mustangs a win over the Caseys that clinches them a spot in the Shore Conference Tournament.

The go-ahead hit was Consolazio's fourth hit of the game and three of the hits drove in at least one run. He singled home the first run of the game in the bottom of the first and added an RBI triple that put Marlboro ahead, 4-1, in the bottom of the fourth.

Red Bank Catholic rallied for four runs in the top of the fifth to take a 5-4 lead, with Matt Brunner hitting a two-run double to tie the game at 4 and Sean Griggs giving RBC a 5-4 lead with an RBI single.

Sophomore Alex Georges got the last out of the fifth and pitched a scoreless sixth to pick up his first varsity win.

Wojenski picked up the save by pitching a scoreless seventh despite allowing a one-out double to Frankie Verano and walking the potential go-ahead run. Wojenski bounced back by recording the final out on a fly ball to centerfielder Wyatt Cavanaugh.
