The Berkeley Little League will dedicate their complex to the first family of baseball in the township Friday night while at the same time rededicating an existing field to its favorite son. The little league complex on Moorage Avenue will be named “Leiter Baseball Park” as a tribute to the family whose five sons all played in the Berkeley Little League. Two of those five, Al and Mark made it to the major leagues and it was Al, a 1984 Central Regional graduated who donated considerable money when the little league expanded its complex years ago. Among the additions was a Senior League field which was named “Leiter Field” when completed. That field will be rededicated as part of tomorrow’s 5:30pm ceremony which will feature Al and other members of his family.

Immediately following the ceremony the Senior Division State Championship game will be played.
