Class A North

No. 5 Howell 13, No. 3 CBA 8

Senior attackman Mark Buannic scored five goals and handed and assisted on three other scores, senior attackman Jake Sherman had a hat trick and senior midfielder Zack Ornstein went 17-for-21 on face-offs as the Rebels (8-1, 3-0) stunned the Colts (5-3, 2-1) for their first win over CBA in program history.

Junior midfielder Nic Rossi added two goals and one assist and senior goalie Ian Colmorgan was sensational with 17 saves to help hand CBA its first divisional defeat since 2010.

Freshman Mike Carroll led CBA with a hat trick while sophomore Nick Casner and junior Shay Walscak each finished with two goals and two assists. Senior goalie Evan Bynoe made 10 saves.

 

Middletown South 15, Marlboro 9

 

Class A South

No. 10 Toms River North 9, Lacey 7

Senior midfielder Tyler Foss had a hat trick an one assist and junior attackman Ryan Clancy scored twice as the Mariners (5-1, 2-0) raced out to a 6-2 halftime lead and held on to top the Lions (6-3, 1-1) in Lacey.

Andrew Lombardi and Tom Butz each added a goal and an assist and junior goalie Austin Bennett made 11 saves.

Senior Dan McAvoy led Lacey with two goals and two assists while Connor Wilson and Lucas Sirotniak also scored twice. Ryan Mahon added a goal and two assists and Mike Trezza made eight saves.

 

Brick Memorial 14, Toms River East 0

Junior Billy Porter scored a career-high eight goals - all in the first half - and added an assist, junior Luke Vescovi went 12-for-14 on face-offs and junior goalie Chris Sayers earned the shutout as the Mustangs (3-3, 1-2) rolled over the Raiders (0-5, 0-2) in Toms River.

 

Class B North

No. 6 Red Bank Catholic 10, Red Bank 9 (2OT)

Senior attackman Tim Barile scored the game-winning goal in double overtime to lift the Caseys (5-2, 2-0) past the Bucs (3-7, 1-2) in Little Silver. Barile finished with three goals and one assist.

Julian Esposito led RBC with four goals while Brett Habich had two goals and two assists and Matt Benjamin made 16 saves.

Cole Smolokoff led Red Bank with four goals. Brian Fagan had two goals and one assist and junior attackman Ryan Gilmartin made his Bucs debut with two goals and two assists. Jon Pierce was incredible in making 26 saves.

 

Class B South

No. 4 Manasquan 7, Jackson Liberty 3

Sophomore attackman Jarrett Birch sank three goals and senior midfielder Chris Klodowski and sophomore Joe Tonkovich each scored twice to lead the Warriors (7-2, 2-0) topped the Lions (3-4, 1-2).

 

Nondivisional

No. 1 Southern 11, No. 7 Freehold Township 4

Senior midfielder Shawn McManus registered a hat trick and senior attackman Dylan Jinks, sophomore attackman Kyle Mulrane and junior attackman Nick Simonelli each scored twice as the top-ranked Rams (9-0) remained unbeaten with a road victory over the Patriots (6-4).

Senior midfielder Chris Smith had a goal and four assists and sophomore midfielder Will Johnson added a goal and an assist. Senior goalie Brendan Lefanto made nine saves.

Brandon Nunez scored twice and had an assist for Freehold Township and Billy Sasso had an assist and won 11 of 19 face-offs against Smith in a battle between two of the Shore Conference's best on draws. Matt Schroepfer made eight saves.

 

Jackson Memorial 11, St. Rose 10

The Jaguars (3-5) built a 9-5 halftime lead and held on to defeat the Purple Roses (2-6) in Jackson. Senior attackman Troy Wolf scored a game-high three goals and added three assists, and senior attackman Billy Plungis added three goals and two assist. Junior midfielder Henry Smith scored twice and junior attackman Justin Mayer had three assists.

Senior attackman Matt Frost had two goals and three assists, senior attackman Scott Dimmit scored twice and also had two assists and sophomore midfielder Shane Reilly had hat trick for St. Rose. Sophomore goalie Robert Brugnoli made 15 saves.
