We are a couple of weeks into the season and the schedule is still filled with postponement and cancellations.  St. John Vianney, the #1 team in New Jersey finally took to court after having their program shut down for two weeks and showed why they are so highly regarded.  The Lancers and Red Bank Catholic are the clear choices as the top two teams in this week's Top Ten done in cooperation with a group of head coaches. There are no changes from a week ago but expect this to look different next week.

1. St. John Vianney (2-0) Last week:  1

How good is Vianney?  Their first two games of the season were against a good Rumson-Fair Haven team and led by Madison St. Rose the Lady Lancers won those games with an average of 25 points.  Unanimous choice as #1.

2. Red Bank Catholic (4-0) Last week:  2

Rolled to a pair of easy wins over Shore Regional and has not been tested yet.  That will likely happen on Friday when they visit St. Rose in a battle of elite programs.

 3. Manchester (5-0) Last week  : 3

A 3-0 week in which they beat Pinelands (twice) and Toms River North by an average of 37 points per game.  Destiny Adams is putting up amazing numbers against outmanned opponents but that may end later this week with a pair of games against Manasquan.

4. St. Rose (3-1)     Last week :  4

Purple Roses rolled to a pair of easy victories over Ocean behind Abby Antognoli who had 44 points.  Games with Neptune (Wednesday) and RBC (Friday) should give a better idea of just how good this team might be.

 5. Manasquan (3-1)   Last week:  5

The Warriors rolled past Ranney twice with Brooke Hollawell leading a balanced attack.  Now comes a pair of games with Manchester and Adams,

6. Rumson-Fair Haven (2-2) Last week: 6

How do you get blown at twice and not drop in the rankings?  Play St. John Vianney.

7. Marlboro (2-0)  Last week:  7

Mustangs finally got on the court and responded with wins over Manalapan and Trinity Hall.  Dani Schlesinger scored 36 in the two victories.

8. Holmdel (4-1)    Last week: 8

The Hornets won their two games last week over Middletown North but dropped a Monday night decision to St. John Vianney.

 9. Red Bank (2-2)    Last week:  9

After losing their first two games to Rumson the Bucs collected victories last week over Freehold Township and Middletown South behind Chloe Teter and Caitlyn Decker.

 10. Donovan Catholic (4-0) Last week 10

Two solid wins over Toms River East for the Griffins who along with Jackson Memorial are the only threats to Manchester as the top team in Ocean County.  Oliivia Conroy averaged a double-double for Donovan.
