CLASS A NORTH

Middletown South 12, No. 10 Colts Neck 2

Alec Madden scored five goals with two assists and Pete Lawson scored four goals as the Eagles (6-1, 3-0) extended their winning streak to six games with a convincing win over the Cougars (4-6, 2-3).

Zach Albrecht finished with one goal and one assist while Noah Diodato and Mike Gallicchio each scored once. Matt Marino made 11 saves.

 

Neptune 7, Middletown North 6

 

CLASS A SOUTH

Brick 8, Brick Memorial 7

Mickey Holland's goal with 3:22 to play in regulation snapped a 7-7 tie and delivered the Dragons (5-4, 2-1) a thrilling victory over the arch rival Mustangs (4-4, 0-2).

Holland finished with a game-high four goals while Rich Cosgrove had a hat trick and Nick D'Eufemia scored once for Brick.

Junior attackman Joey Ferrera scored three times to lead Brick Memorial. His goal just before the third quarter concluded tied the score at seven. Gavin Murphy had one goal and one assist whiole Henry Moran, Mike Mowder and Vincent Spinelli each scored once. Matt Wood made 12 saves.

 

Toms River North 9, Toms River South 7

 

 

CLASS B NORTH

No. 7 St. John Vianney 14, Red Bank 5

Freshman midfielder Anthony Brett scored four goals with one assist and senior attackman Chris Kelly tallied two goals and six assists as the Lancers (6-4, 5-0) rolled over the Bucs (1-7, 1-3).

Freshman midfielder Matt Franzoni had a hat trick, senior attackman Andrew Porretta notched two goals and three assists and senior attackman Tino D'Amore scored twice. Senior midfielder Andrew Gilfillan had one goal and one assist and sophomore goalie C.J. Hanson made five save.

Kent Hottman scored twice and Matt Gibson made 21 saves to lead Red Bank. Dan Bonanno had a goal and two assists and Seamus Cochrane and Dean Hottman each scored once.

 

NONDIVISIONAL

No. 1 Manasquan 16, No. 4 CBA 8

Sophomore attackman Canyon Birch scored a game-high five goals with two assists while senior attackman Jarrett Birch scored four times as the top-ranked Warriors (7-1) cruised past the rival Colts (2-4).

Senior midfielder Devan Carroll added a hat trick and senior midfielder Pat Felstedt notched two goals with two assists for Manasquan. Senior midfielder John Moran and senior attackman Joe Tonkovich each scored once. Senior Tom Pollock played the first half in goal and made three saves while sophomore Mike Lapoint got the nod in the second half and finished with six saves.

Senior attackman Nick Casner led CBA with four goals while Connor Macrae, Mike Carroll, Robbie Hermansen and Jack Koury each scored once. Ryan McGuiness made 10 saves.

Felstedt, Carroll and Canyon Birch each scored in the first quarter to give Manasquan a 3-1 lead, and Jarrett Birch scored three times in the second quarter as the Warriors opened up an 8-2 halftime edge. The lead ballooned to 13-4 after three quarters as Canyon Birch scored three times.

 

Shore 14, Lacey 11

Junior attackman Ryan Morris scored a game-high five goals and added two assists as the Blue Devils (6-3) pushed past the Lions (4-2) with three goals in the fourth quarter to break an 11-all tie.

Sophomore midfielders Gil Goldsmith and Jack McCrae each had one goal and three assists while Lucas Jackey, Jake Turner and Tom Bocco each scored twice. Josh Campi had one goal and Jack Brignola made 10 saves.

Senior midfielder Connor Wilson scored three goals and Justin Covey made 14 saves to lead Lacey. Ryan Giles and JoeCarlo Chimenti each scored twice.

 

Toms River East 14, Jackson Liberty 6
