This week’s “Turning Point of the Game”:

Holding onto a 14-10 lead midway through the third quarter, the Red Bank Catholic Caseys were facing a 4th and 9 from Donovan Catholic’s 37-yard-line. Instead of playing the field position game and punting the ball away, head coach Frank Edgerly decided to keep his offense on the field. Junior QB Anthony Borriello lined up in the shotgun next to Elijah Jules, with two receivers split out right, one out to the left, and TE Kevin Bauman next to the left tackle. Borriello took the snap and stepped up into a clean pocket, firing a pass over the middle of the field to Bauman, who ran a clean post route. The senior made the grab and proceeded to drag a Griffin defender 10 yards into the endzone, giving the Caseys a two-score lead on the road. Red Bank Catholic would end up handing Donovan Catholic their first loss of the season, with the final score being 27-16. For their efforts, Borriello and Bauman will each receive a gift card from Turning Point breakfast, brunch, and lunch.

Be sure and look every week for “The Turning Point of the Game.
