7 Questions With (Powered by Jersey Mike's)

Eddie Morales III had an outstanding career at Howell High School where he helped the Rebels reach the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 5 semifinals in back-to-backs year, including a 9-2 season in 2017. Morales will likely be best remembered as a quarterback in high school but also contributed as a defensive back and even at wide receiver.

As a freshman walk-on at Monmouth University, he saw action in eight games as a defensive back and last season (2019) appeared in all 14 games for the Hawks (starting three) and was named to the All-Big South team as a punt returner.

Now a junior and getting ready for a four-game spring season, Morales will replace the graduated Tymere Berry (another former Shore standout who starred at Toms River South) at one of the starting cornerback spots when Monmouth opens its season on March 13 at Robert Morris.

We talked about being back on the field after a lost fall campaign, his new jersey number, academics and more.
