Their first meeting came ten weeks ago and it was a defensive battle with Wall pulling off what was considered a pretty significant upset by outlasting Rumson-Fair Haven 14-3.  There were some who likely came away from that game with the feeling we could see a repeat in the NJSIAA Playoffs and that’s exactly what we have tonight when the Crimson Knights host the Bulldogs for the Central Jersey Group 3 title. The 7pm contest is the Jersey Mike’s Game of the Week on the Shore Sports Network and will be streamed live on shoresportsnetwork.com with Matt Harmon, Kevin Williams and Ed Sarluca calling the action.  You can also watch the game on the Shore Sports Network Facebook page or by downloading the free Shore Sports Network mobile app.

Wall (10-0) has rolled past Allentown (49-7) and Lacey (35-18) to reach the finals as they seek the fifth sectional crown in program history with the last coming in 2016.  Rumson (6-4) has shut down both Delsea (27-6) and Timber Creek (16-9) to move within a victory of an amazing 7th crown in the last 10 years.

The Crimson Knights have been led all season long by Logan Peters, Casey Larkin, Ian Ackerman and Charlie Sasso who like several others start on both offense and defense.  The two-platoon Bulldogs feature QB Colin Coles and RB Johnny Volker on offense and defensive standouts Gordon Forsyth and Ryan Ruane.

The winner will go up against the South Jersey sectional champions (Woodrow Wilson or Somerville) in a regional championship game either next weekend or in early December.

The Jersey Mike’s Game of the Week on the Shore Sports Network is presented by Jersey Mike’s, Atlantic Physical Therapy Center, Sansone Jr’s 66 Automall, The Turning Point, Asylum Sports Center, RKE Athletic and Leonard Perry Motors.
