Coming off a 5-6 season in which defense was their main problem Monmouth University football coach Kevin Callahan believes he addressed specific needs with the addition of 21 student-athletes to the Hawks program.

Championship Saturday turned out to be something very special to 3 Shore area football teams. Neptune, Asbury Park and Matawan came away with the trophy, as we saw some amazing and spectacular performances at both Rutgers and The College of New Jersey

At a program that has produced a 1,000-yard rusher every year since 2003, one of the best compliments Manalapan can receive is that if you pluck out a game film from five years ago, the performance of the offensive line doesn’t look much different than one from this season.
