Jackson Memorial Boys Win WOBM Classic Title

For the most part, the numbers were gruesome in Jackson Memorial's win over Toms River North in Friday night's WOBM Classic championship game at Pine Belt Arena, but the only ones that mattered to the Jaguars were on the scoreboard.

Toms River North senior forward Sean Martin was his team's leading scorer as a junior last year, so when first-year coach Rory Caswell told Martin before the season that he was not going to be shooting as much this season in the scheme, he expected Martin to need time to adjust.
Christmas Classic Update: Heating Up
It was an exciting first day of action in this season’s WOBM Christmas Classic and it should only get better when the tournament resumes with the quarterfinals at Pine Belt Arena on Dec. 26. Here is a look back at Saturday’s action as well as a look ahead at the quarterfinals.

At a program that has produced a 1,000-yard rusher every year since 2003, one of the best compliments Manalapan can receive is that if you pluck out a game film from five years ago, the performance of the offensive line doesn’t look much different than one from this season.
Top 10 Tuesday: 11/29/11
The majority of the Shore Conference made its closing argument in the Top 10 rankings this week, but five teams get one final say when the NJSIAA sectional finals involving Shore Conference teams are held on Saturday.

The Thanksgiving rivalry games brought about some surprising scores and record-setting performances as all but five Shore Conference teams wrapped up their seasons this past week.

Don't tell anyone, but I was one win away from the perfect weekend last week. Yes, I know there were only seven games played, but I have to take my small victories where I can get them.
