In addition to the Shore Conference Wrestler of the Week fan poll, Shore Sports Network will be selecting an Ocean County Wrestler of the Week throughout the season, presented by AOSMI (formerly known as Ocean County Sports Medicine).

Ocean County Week 4 Wrestler of the Week

Matt Gauthier, Sr., Lacey

The Lions had a huge week with two wins over ranked teams and Gauthier played a major role, including a pin when Lacey edged No. 12 Colts Neck, 37-36, on Saturday. The night before, Gauthier won by forfeit in Lacey's 36-35 win over No. 10 Point Boro that kept the Lions in the hunt for the Class B South division title. He went 4-0 with three first-period pins and one forfeit during the week.
