Manasquan linebacker Blaine Birch and two-way lineman Monte Sinisi, a pair of standouts who helped the Warriors to an eight-win season in the fall, have made their college decisions.

Birch will play football and lacrosse at Division II Assumption College, while Sinisi has verbally committed to the University of Rhode Island, an FCS program.

Birch was an All-Class A Central selection by the coaches and a second-team All-Shore pick by Shore Sports Network in the fall. He was the Warriors’ leading tackler with 123 (78 solo) while also forcing and recovering two fumbles each and posting three sacks with one interception and two pass breakups. He also saw time at fullback on offense.

Sinisi was also an All-Class A Central selection as well as a third-team All-Shore pick by SSN. He was a leader on an offensive line that blocked for 1,000-yard rusher Joe Murphy. He also was a standout on a defense that allowed 12.5 points per game, making 67 tackles, recorded nine sacks and had two pass breakups and two forced fumbles.
