VOTE: Thrive Shore Conference Girls Basketball Week 5 Player of the Week
Each week during the remainder of the Shore Conference girls basketball season, Shore Sports Network will present multiple weekly awards for Player of the Week and give the fans the opportunity to vote for the overall player of the week.
Below are the Players of the Week in each of the eight Shore Conference divisions, plus two wild cards. Read about their performances during the stretch of games from Jan. 15 through Jan. 21 and vote for the players who stood out as the Thrive Shore Conference Player of the Week.
Vote once per hour until the poll closes at 10 p.m. on Thursday. The winner will be posted on Thursday and will receive a free recovery session courtesy of Thrive Spine and Sports Rehab.

Class A North Player of the Week
Madison Sciarrino, Freehold Township
Sciarrino tied a career-high of 18 points and grabbed 4 rebounds against Long Branch to help put Freehold Township above .500 and end a five game losing streak.

Class A Central Player of the Week
Mackenzie Denzler, Henry Hudson
Denzler helped Henry Hudson go 2-1 during the week averaging 10.7 points, 9.3 rebounds and 3 assists a game. She posted a double-double in both victories, 16 points and 10 rebounds against Asbury Park and 10 points and 11 rebounds against Jackson Liberty. She also performed on the defensive end of the floor, coming up with 5 steals and 4 blocks in the victories.

Class A Coastal Player of the Week
Leomary Diaz-Merino, Long Branch
Diaz-Merino continues her strong season, scoring double-digits in every game this year except one. She averaged 17.5 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 2.5 steals last week. She scored 22 points against No. 15 Point Boro, shooting 10 out of 12 from the foul-line.

Class A South Player of the Week
Sydney Murphy, Toms River East
Murphy scored 14 points and had 3 assists in a victory against crosstown rival Toms River South. She followed that with a season-high 16 points against Middletown North.

Karleigh Aber, Middletown North
Aber posted her first double-double of the season, 14 points and 11 rebounds, in a victory over Toms River East. Earlier in the week she scored 6 points and grabbed 8 rebounds against No. 5 Trinity Hall.

Class B Central Player of the Week
Kimi Sayson, Shore Regional
Sayson filled every stat last week in Shore Regional’s victory. She scored a season-high 18 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and had 6 steals to give the Blue Devils their 7th win of the season.

Class B Coastal Player of the Week
Brooke Missry, St. Rose
Missry waited until St. Rose played the No. 1 team in New Jersey, Morris Catholic, to put up career highs. She knocked down seven 3-pointers and finished with 22 points in a hard fought game that St. Rose dropped 55-52.

Class B South Player of the Week
Madeline Nolan, Manchester
Nolan helped Manchester crack the top ten this week after back-to-back double-digit performances. In a win over Toms River North, Nolan had 15 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 blocks and 3 steals. She followed that with 16 points against No. 9 Howell where she hit two 3-pointers and went 6 out of 8 from the foul-line.

Wildcards
Reese Paget, Lacey
Paget posted two double-doubles last week, making it four in a row and six on the season. She helped get revenge on Central, who eliminated them from the WOBM Christmas Classic, with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Earlier in the week she scored 12 points and 11 rebounds against Class A South leaders, Southern.
Grace Feeney, Trinity Hall
Feeney averaged 16 points in the Monarchs two victories last week. She opened the week tying a career-high 17 points against Middletown North and followed that with 15 points against Middletown South.
